I'd think that since Cartier isn't some average jeweller, you can probably expect quality work from them. From what I think you're paying for the ring, anything less than perfect would be unacceptable.
HI xbabypanda, thank you for taking the time to read my post. But the funny thing is the so called "cartier workshop" is based in singapore so is there such a thing as a cartier workshop in singapore or they just out source it to some other jeweler based here? Also, you are implying that there shouldnt be a mark on the band after they resized it?
Well, I'm not married yet so I'm not really experienced with this sort of stuff. But my POV is that:
1. Cartier is considered a luxury brand, and for the kind of prices that you pay, they are obliged to give you good quality goods.
2. Even if there is no local workshop, I'm sure being such a huge brand, they will have their own specific workshops that do resizing and stuffs like that for customers. I believe they will not outsource their own branded goods to some random jeweler.
3. I won't say for sure there will not be any marks, but for my part, I would NOT expect to see any. Like I've said, you pay for what you get. Random guess, but a Cartier ring's gonna cost you a few thousands at the very least. I'd have the right to have high expectations.
