The stress of wedding planning can get the best of even the most level-headed couples. Here are 10 things you should quit worrying about before your wedding day arrives.
1. Those last few pounds
You want to look your best on your big day, so you’ve been dieting and exercising like a maniac. Your efforts have no doubt paid off, so pay no attention to the number on the scale and have pancakes for breakfast on your wedding day.
2.The best man giving a cringe-worthy speech
If the groom chose wisely, you have little to worry about. You can’t predict what he’s going to say, so just remember to raise your glass to the compliments and put the zingers out of your mind.
3. The weather
Have a back-up plan for inclement weather, and just remember what a great story it will make for your future children and grandchildren if you wind up getting married on the day of a freak snowstorm.
4. Crying
There will be tears. You’ll see your mother or sister well up, your sweetie will say something wonderful during his or her vows, and the waterworks will flow. Don’t fight it – that scrunchy, resisting-tears face is worse than a few streaks down your cheeks.
5. Your wedding budget
Take a time-out from the number-crunching. Yes, we’re all about budgeting wisely, but you can ignore the the wedding-related bills for 24 hours. Pay off as much as you can in advance, delegate tasks to ensure that vendors get paid in a timely fashion, and don’t worry if you feel like you’ve splurged a little too much. Ramen noodles are a delicious newlywed meal!
6. Your families getting along
Your family and your future spouse’s family may be as different as night and day, but they have one thing in common: they care about you and are there to celebrate your union. Even the most uncouth of relatives can usually behave themselves for one day, so quit worrying about their differing political views or questionable fashion sense. Colorful guests add to the fun!
7. How your photos will turn out
If you’re having a good time, it will shine through in the pictures. Choose a photographer with a great portfolio and trust that they know what they’re doing. And thank your lucky stars that you live in the Photoshop era.
No need to worry about! Things will solve!
