My cousin had her wedding on Xmas day a few years back and the guest list was a nightmare.
Many people couldn't make it as they were either out of town or prefer to spend the time with their family. And even at the banquet, a lot of people left early, without finishing the entire courses as they wanted to go meet friends/family to spend the rest of the night with.

She said she wouldn't do it again if she had know it was this bad.

Xmas day is such a meaningful day,but many friends couldnt come cuz they would stay with their parents. If you like a calm wedding, its a good time,if you want to have a jolly time,it should be consider again.

i attended weddings on xmas days and boxing days
attendance will be ok if it's on Sat or Sun or holiday in lieu

however, many families are usually overseas for holidays on these days. just need to inform early or check with them if they will be around

Thank you for your suggestion. In my opinion, to inform the guests early and check with them is very necessary.Because the number of guests will impact the atmosphere of the wedding feast.
