    hi there,

i recommend Ritz Carlton if you have more 60 tables (thats their requirement for booking of their grandballroom). Shangri-la is nice too but the hotel is abit too old for my liking though...alternatively you can try regent or St Regis too.

you may consider some newly built hotels in sentosa too...

Shangrila's wedding coordinators seems to only give VIPs the best service. Street people like us, tend to be neglected.

I had my wedding at Ritz-Carlton as they had the best service.
But I like St Regis as well, they had a wedding show which I attended and food was good. And compared to Ritz, their packages were almost the same prices, but St Regis had a lot more things thrown in. Unfortunately, I had already booked my package with Ritz but still no regrets as Ritz's service was better than St Regis.

    Hi Angel,

    Thanks for the feedback!
Erm.. i need more than 70 tables.. lolx.. looking at 80 above..
Ritz i tried calling but no one answers. =(
The rest all the hotels cannot accomodate to my numbers.. sad..
So i'm only left with these few choices..
From the package, Orchard Hotel seems good. Not too such about layout.. yet to go view.

Oh ya.. its better not to take sentosa hotels. LOL my future father in-law says.. ppl will end up going gambling, before or after the dinner. You will probably missing people halfway which gives u empty tables.. not very nice. That was what happen to his table when he went for a dinner nearby Marina Bay Sands. So.. for BTB, DO NOT CONSIDER CASINO HOTELS!!!!

oh sure! i was stating an example only...cos my 1st choice was actually Ritz Carlton hotel however was told their minimum was 60 tables at least...we only need 50 tables thus we end up choosing grand hyatt.

    Nevertheless, good luck!

Comparison to the other hotels in your list, only Orchard Hotel is 4 stars...the rest are 5...

Held my wedding in Orchard Hotel, they can accomodate up to 100 tables...70 tables would be mean using up all the 3 ballrooms.
Orchard Hotel service is double thumbs up, I did not find any flaw or bad service about them since day 1 I sign up with them, except for the dishes which not really consistent...nevertheless if you want to know more, and also the coordinator, I can recommend, feel free to pm me

For so many tables it can be quite difficult to find suitable venues.

My colleague had 60+ tables at Suntec.

You can also consider Orchid Country Club, the food there is from Peach Garden and their ballroom is quite nice.

When I booked my wedding early last year, the economy was in doldrums and the H1N1 flu was spreading like wild fire, the packages listed from most expensive to least expensive:-

    1) Ritz Carlton
    2) St Regis
    3) Raffles Hotel
    4) Fullerton
    4) Shangrila

My wedding is over already, last December
My table was around $1600 for a table of 12.

I didn't meet their minimum requirements as well but I can still book Ritz on the condition that I meet their min spending, which I can't remember what it was.
So I took the more expensive menu and also ordered a real tier cake from them for all my guests which cost $90/kg, IIRC.

Maybe give Ritz an email and they'll get back to you and you can call them with the direct line as the wedding coordinators are always running around.

After I booked Ritz in April last year, St Regis came up with a wedding show which I attended. The prices are the same, in fact, for the same prices, St Regis had better menu as it had abalone and sharkfin's. Ritz had only either one and I had to top up to add the sharkfin's! St Regis also gave free cake, 2 bottles of wine per table, free 8hours use of the Bentley, 2 night stay and free spa treatment!

I was grumbling to my photographer that when I first approached St Regis, their service was really lousy and they couldn't accomodate many of my requests hence I went with Ritz.

And after I signed on with Ritz, St Regis came up with such an attractive package. My photographer told me Ritz's market was still there whereas St Regis, at that time was new and doing not too well and the first few weddings they had, had a lot of customer issues.

I was informed that St Regis had sacked almost their entire wedding department and go through a major overhaul and hence, the attractive packages to attract more people.

Maybe see if you can ask to sit 12 people per table to save space?
My guests feedbacked that at my wedding, they were comfortable with sitting
    12/table, still quite roomy.

Thanks babe! But i've calculated, their max tables is 48 if i x 12 pax total can only accomodate 576 pax. I'm looking at 700~800 pax. So kinda no choice. I like oriental, but too small.. >.<~

By the way, how was ur experience with Ritz? I checked with Ritz, they are offering $1492.40 NETT. Compared to Shangrila, more expensive by $92.40. Haha...
