i am in a delimma whether to resize my ring. need some advice.

i have small fingers with small knuckles. my current ring (size 4) sits nicely when i am in air conditioned areas but tight when i am outdoors, looks kinda like sausage finger with the fats around the ring, quite an unpleasant sight. however, with size 4.5, it sits nicely when i am outdoors but it's pretty loose in air conditioned area and it will slip past my knuckles if i fling my hand hard. should i take size 4 or 4.5?
