actually has anyone emailed or call them ?

i've emailed them with my queries but yet to receive a reply from them.

was wondering if we need to apply and pay ourselves or VG will do it for us.

and those ocmpanies not with COMPASS we still must pay to use their songs??

Actually you can try playing the songs from the Hotel's and (mute)montage simultaneously... won't it create the same effect?

1) "You can't lose money you never had." - money has to be EARNED.
Many companies are wasting money/time/manpower in legal/publicity
using NEGATIVE means by imposing FEAR and ANGER in consumers (the
hands that feed them)

2) The only real way to increase revenue/profit is to increase VALUE
(or perceived value). History have proven how people switched from
Windows to Apple, other brand phone to Iphone. Consumers goes for
VALUE and they never switch to the feeling of intimidation.

3) Consumers always have ALTERNATIVE CHOICEs to switch and to use FREE or public domain materials. Quality Competition from China is fast
coming up. There are abundance of youths with talents. Opensource is a good example that only QUALITY can win FREE things.

My suggestion: Increase value for corporate. Use free public domain music for consumers. There are tons of nice public domain songs.

Personal thoughts:
Remember to have gratitude for the Air, Water, Food & Knowledge that we breathe in and consume.
We are all inter-dependent. If mother nature and the others have not charge us for these, then we should rethink our strategies and revamp what is needed to bring goodness to all we care.

does anyone know, if lets say we manage to come up with instrumental music for a popular song, do we stilll have to pay that ridiculous fee? Also, does this apply to classical music? thanks!

In conclusion, I do not need to pay for the licence for the montage.

Just received an email from My AD P & V, Dream coffee and tea, they let us got 2 option to choose from regarding the usage of the copyright song for the express highlight.

option 1 ) use the royalty-free music in their music libraries
option 2 ) use the song that we prefer, got to pa for $150 per serivce

i've checked with dinner venue and VG. both of them tell me i don't have to pay additional. my VG said he's already applied for the license and will be absorbing it rather than incurring on us.

however my frd's VG is collecting extra from her.

As for the photo montage and video highlights, my hotel advised me to play music/songs from a separate device. And that will basically solve the problem.

The end result may seem a little weird but that's the best case scenario and I'm willing to go with this arrangement.
