grand copthorne waterfront - Apr 2011

villa halia just had a wedding showcase on 19 July.......
it is a nice place if you are thinking of a "chillout" type of setting than the conventional sit-down dinner
there are 3 main areas, the outdoor, the loungy area and the room
good thing is u can segregate your guests
bad thing is couple has to walk here walk there to mingle
if u have less than 100 pax, u can choose the outdoor area only...
some parts no have shelter, so u gotta pray for good weather

parking is quite a headache though

I am very likely to be one. House coming... PP
Does anyone know of any place that has the environment like Villa Bali/Little Bali at Alexander Road?

I like the feeling there, but it is sooo inconvenient to make everybody go there.
No need big, for less than 100 people can already.

    thanks efai!

by the way, just a silly question... I do not have any dressing tables at home. Not even in my parent's master bedroom. I prefer to have the fetch the bride session from a hotel. I cannot imagine doing makeup without a dressing table and mirror. I wonder if we can have any gatecrashing activities in the hotel?

gatecrash at hotel room not encouraged
because u must not disturb other guests or damage any property
means you gotta have a "civilised" gatecrash
    and that's no fun.....

wow, wow, I love you efai! Thanks for the suggestions. Dempsey is another hard to go to place. I like the name 1-twnentysix. hehe. Cos my bday is on a 6th.

But from the websites, I think the photos of Halia attracts me the most. =)

Unless u can get a suite with a separate bedroom, which means your hb and his pals can do the gatecrashing in the living room of the suite..

LOL. After a few months search for a place with ambience like resort & nature kind, my SO suddenly let me know he wants hotel, cos he think he will need more tables. Then my restaurants all so small...

efai, any pros and cons as to holding it together or separate?

i wanna hold it together coz i guess it will be more convenient.. i also understand it will be more tiring.. but most likely i will solemnize and have the AD at the same venue, different location.. it wouldnt exhaust much energy right?

is there any cost differences between holding together and separate? not much right?

Wow.. Congrats to all the babes here who are going to be 2011 brides!

SO hasn't proposed yet, but he said we'll most likely marry after i graduate in May 2011.. =/ SO is not really a romantic guy.. lol.. no idea if he'll propose or not.. He'll probably say "Let's get married!" instead.. haha..

Do you girls think it's possible to propose in 2011 and get married in 2011? We even planned the date already. 11th Nov 2011.
