Gals, is it common to hold your solemnization out instead of Fort Canning? Usually who do you invite? I don't think it is a must to invite the whole world right?

I'll holding my ROM on this Sept. As it falls on weekdays & the auspicious hour I need to take my vow is 9 - 11am :Doh:

Anyone has a good recommendation for location - Solemnization The day I want is full so I need to engage someone (which I found) but I have not confirm with him the location I need a place nice & reasonable pricing so it'll be a place for the session + meals with our relatives (about 20 pax). Please give me your suggestion soon & +

hi snowy, in fact, outdoor solemenisation is very common these days. I held mine in Raffles hotel at the Gazebo Lawn. Those who are planning can check that place out.. It's really beautiful and romantic.. I invited about 40 guest that day.

they have a standard package which cost about 2k for 20 persons. But this only include the rental of place(2hrs), deco, free flow of drinks and 5 canapes/person.

However, I wanted to hold mine during evening time so that it will not be so hot and humid. Since it's near dinner time, I ask to have some light dinner (standing cocktail type) to be serve in the lawn. I paid 3.2k for 30 pax. additional person add $65. The whole place is romantic and wonderful. On top of that, I hired a band to entertain my guest.. I can share my photos with you if you want. please your email address and I will try to send invites to you. I highly recommend this place..

ITangle, I think the Scotts Lounge at Hyatt is a very nice place too, maybe if budget not a problem, you can consider that?

opilover: :wow: Yours sounds like fun!!! But alittle too ex for me.... My budget is around $2k or less. don't think I wanna spurgle on this cos I'll be holding a wedding dinner next yr. Can send the picts to jeniceo@yahoo.com? Will appreciate that.

I already find a nice location It's at Grand Plaza ParkRoyal Hotel. The solemnization will hold in a small cozy glass room with a mini waterfall on the side, a bridge in the centre & the other side is full of green plants. I will need to pay around S$500 for 20 pax. Because as long you booked your tables at St. Gregory's Brasserie & Courtyard at Level 1, they'll help you to set up the table in the cozy glass room for free. ITangel, you got invites to my photos.. Hope you enjoy. Maybe I can suggest Amara hotel by the poolside. It's very popular among many outdoor solemisation couples. The rates are pretty reasonable. $999 for 30 people. They will decorate up the whole place and include lunch.. Go down and check it out..

In fact many bridal studio now do throw in ROM package, but u have to be careful as the dress might not be nice. so if you want to sign up any package, disuss all the terms and conditions properly. Look through the ROM dress to see you can get something you like.
As for myself, the bridal studio i sign up with does not throw in any ROM package.. also, i can't find any nice dress off the dress for my big day. so in the end, i sign up with a studio for it's ROM package which include a make to measure ROM dress for keep, a bouquet of flowers and make up.. the price was reasonable. if you are interested, maybe i can give you the details. do PM me ok?
