Im super blurr.. n my bestie have appointed me as the "leader" of the jie mei tao... stresssss
so scared i will create more "trouble" then helping out.. lolll..

felicia, don't get too stressed up. usually the bride will have a schedule of the duties of each helper (JM & XM). perhaps u can take charge of the main co-ordination during the actual day - just follow the schedule n be prepared to play by ear if something happens that is not in the schedule. just relax & have lots of fun! jia you!

I think my bestie, who is the bride have never been jie mei before.. so not v sure of our duties too other than handling the recep, gatecrash n follow her around.. loll
think really have to play by ear....

btw, I also need ideas for gatecrash.. I don’t want to be too mean to the groom..cause I think it shld b a joyous occasion instead of torture session.. Anyone of u have ideas for sweet gatecrash ideas??

Actually your friend should have a meet up with her jiemeis & her Hubby's siong dis... each of them will have their tasks to take care of,...

what my jiemeis did for the day:

gatecrash
take care of my belonging ( my personal bag where my make up and stuffs are in)
Take care of my Gifts & Ang baos
Take charge of my gowns ( wedding gown & Evening) & tea Dress.. making sure they are packed and brought along in the car. To be bought to the hotel/rest/new house

For me, i had 2 differ batch of Jiemei for day & night cause my shedule is very tight in the day... i doen't want to tired my jiemeis out..
So my night jiemeis does the recpt, ashering & 2 of them follow me when i am changing during the march in.

MY hubby was having a "good" time during the gatecrash cause my jiemei had only 10min to "tekan" him due to the timing... keke

Game 1

2 donuts tied onto a string @ both side... placed on one of the siong di shoulder
The siong dis had to take a bite each without using their hands
The rest is for Hb's to finish it...

Game 2
Sour, Sweet, Bitter, Spicy Taste

Cut lil holes on the straws
Coke - 4 cans

1 original - for hubby
1 with padi chilli
1 with bitterground juice
1 with lemon juice

Another game that i always "play" during my friend wedding
Spread some "goodies" on bread then fold half
Ask the Groom & Siong Dis to bite the letterings out using their mouth...
like the bride's name or a sentence

(if they spoiled the bread, use an ang bao to exchange for a new piece of bread )
