I didnt get them to do the emcee part as mine was not a sit-down banquet. Cant rembr the guy's name, but he's got wavy hair.

i engaged Wedding Harmony for my wedding in Aug too! Signed up with them mainly becos of Lorraine. I had her and another guy (cant rembr his name) for my wedding, she's great! I even had guest asking for their contacts becos they loved her singing!

However, the male singer was a little disappointing. Quite a few songs he couldn't get it right in terms of pitching and mood (i'm music-trained so i'm very particular abt this).

Oh Lorraine... yes I saw her at the recent Merchant Court Bridal show. Love her voice! Bought her Vol.2 album that day too. It's a compilation of the original songs she wrote and produced for her couples.

Now my heart is itching for a love song of my own hoho!

go try other vendors, nuclear. it's very frustrating working with such vendors especially when you are already busy with wedding planning.

i ended up using et music which is very professional and reliable.

Yea totally agree about avoiding such vendors. Too many things to plan for wedding! wished i gotten a wedding planner

Anyway I went for Wedding Harmony good package, easy to work with, great musicians!

Im actually very disappointed with Alittledr**. Im not too sure why there are so many raves about them. Ok probably their performance is good but I feel their attitude is not.

I enquired about their wedding band probably about 13 months before my wedding and they seem uninterested. Instead of replying me their price and tell me its too early to book them, they just reply me with an email to say its too early to book them now without any quotes. I thought it is quite unprofessional but I gave them the benefit of doubt.

So 9 months before my wedding, I emailed them again to enquire abt their service and to express my interest. This time, they told me that my wedding date is a HOT DATE and it is on a first come first serve basis.
I was quite disappointed because
1) Since it is a hot date, why can't they tell me when I enquire previously? Ok probably they have overlooked it but

2) They merely told me there are a lot of ppl getting married on my wedding day. But the thing is, are the customers confiming their booking? But the good thing is, this time, he actually quoted me, but with the "reminder" that my wedding day is a good date and might not be able to accomadate me.. My point is, am I being put on a long waiting list? If I were to pay immediately, will I be able to engage them? Why can't they give me a definate answer? Just because I am asking for a 2pcs band only?

I am really very disappointed with them. I believe that their performance is good but I feel that probably they have becme more popular along the way and have forgotten about the most basic thing called - customer service.

i also emailed them about 1 yr in advance. Likewise they informed me that is too early to confirm cause the schedule of the singers is hard to predict. i do understand. but i enquire alot of things like the price, the instrument etc and they replied me promtly. (till now). convenient to know who u liaise with?

So will u still be confirming with them? Since u are like ready to confirm. why should we bother if it is a hot date :/

oh man sorry to hear abt the unpleasant experience with alittled****! my fren engaged them and apparently was rather happy.

for mine, i engaged yourstruly and asked for kewei to sing. they were a hit with my guests! even my 'fussy' aunts gave the thumbs up for her wonderful vocals. my guy frens and cousins loved her too..haha she's a babe!

i was considering yours truly too but seems like to engage kewei is much more expensive, and prices has increase for those weddings after june this year. so i choose a little dream instead. hopefully is good.

w3ngal, yes it does cost extra if you were to request for kewei. guess its due to her popularity and experience. if im not wrong, she sings backup for ahmei and tao ze.
my fren was all praises for alittledream, im sure it will be great! anyway congrats in advance on ur wedding!

I had a different experience with A Little Dream. I went to them about 10 months before my wedding and they asked me for my preference. I said I would like to have Hsin Yeow as the singer and they quoted me and everything.

My wedding date was also a hot date and they said they'll hold the date for me till a certain date. And if I don't reply by then, they will release the slot.

And we kept changing our song lists and to be honest, our song list was a nightmare coz we didn't choose the lovey-dovey love songs. We had a lot of 'noisy' and even had breakup songs! In fact, 80% of our songs didn't have favourable lyrics. We even chose songs about death. haha. Hsin Yeow asked if we really wanted to choose those songs, we said ya, defintely. He was pretty accomodating as the songs were really new to him and he had to learn them. Plus, we had a drummer, electric guitarist and a keyboardist, they all had to learn the songs as well. They even threw in a free practice session for my SO who wanted to play his electric guitar at the wedding.

oohhh right now i am asked to select the songs we like and then give them so that they can some me some samples of the previous work and decide on the singers. is it too early since my wedding is only may next year?

yup personally i think kewei sings very nice. heard her live before but over my budget so did not choose them. i think ginny is cute and sings well too.

Giggles oh no.. If its my wedding i will be super upset also, but bad news is I have already hired them for my wedding next yr Jan.. So far they are quite alright with our replies, except at one point of time there is a delay in reply, according to the in-charged is they are trying to contact available singers for our wedding date, but for me I feel that u should have let us know that u are trying to contact the singers rather then letting us to wait not knowing what is happening.

Actually we choose them because my hubby colleague have them for their wedding and everything is well and happy, thats y hubby went ahead and book them, without too much of consideration. So hopefully everything will turn out well for our wedding!! keeping our finger cross~!

I had a good experience with A Little Dream.

Though they don't do rehearsal other than the actual wedding banquet day, Bevlyn is very professional. She assures me by giving me phonecall and sms and communicated with me about my expectations.

They are also punctual and responsible.

On that day, my guests enjoyed the songs very much. In fact, the singer is so good that they initially thought the songs were played from CD.
