i was reading some wedding articles and i came across this, thought it will be fun

How would you like to be proposed to? or for some other ladies how did your SO propose?

i'm a very imaginative person, with dozen of fairytale dream in my mind..... but come to this, i cant think of any right now, but i do hope is a very big thing that everyone knows about it, regardless where the location is.....

I have a stupid ex bf b4, who came and asked, if he were to propose will i agree? I told him i dont know until he do so, and the reply was, he doesnt want to waste $$ buying a ring then i dont agree THIS IS DEFINITELY OUT

My dream proposal is only 1/2 complete, i would like to be at New York's central park, riding in a horse driven carriage at night, (those open top ones, a bit like santa claus sleigh type) trotting along central park, wearing our coats drawn up to the neck coz it's cold. then he will choose an ideal spot and propose to me with a sparkly diamond ring! after which i will probably cry and say yes, and then it starts to snow a little! of course this is too expensive + a bit impossible for the snow heehee, maybe just the diamond ring will do!

will think of some more and *hint* to him!

i think different guys will propose differently...and if you know your SO particularly hate doing something but he did it for you when he proposed, then that's really sweet i esp. liked the way Richard Gere proposed to Julia Roberts in Runaway Bride (??) i think...where he used the kite string to slide the ring into her finger, so sweet!

i'll like it when it's at the most unexpected...suddenly i see a ring (big diamond perhaps?? :ROFL: ) and he kneels to propose to me sorry but i prefer the conventional method of kneeling cos' i think that's the only time in my life that a guy will ever kneel in front of me, not forgetting their BIG egos...

nice topic! I like quirky, maybe he buys me a puppy and the puppy comes with a ring round the collar, or I'm wandering around a shopping centre to meet him and chances upon the turkish ice cream vendor, and turns out he rented a turkish costume and sells me the icecream (complete with all the jesting actions), and the ring's in the ice cream... (Ok, I know impossible so complicated) ... rather than snow, carriage or candlelight dinner... don't like mass communication via big screen that kind of thing.

I could accept another form is down-to-earth, he comes back from an overseas trip, I greet him and when he sees me, he runs towards me with a big hug and goes down on his knees right in middle of airport hall.

i doubt many here got a very unforgetable proposal with pratical singaporean guys around..... Married women, tell us how your man propose to u!!!

Actually for mine, nothing romantic. He just bought a ring and slip into my hands during a dinner together.....very simple!!

sincere .. simple is fine but just have to be sincere.. you can tell when one is not

Actually to me what matters is what happens after marriage and how sincere he is.....And in my eyes my hubby is romantic but may not be to others! His proposal was a surprise to me really...I don't need anything dramatic really...just lots of sincerity!
