Hi, AngelBB, Nice to see u here.

It is very very very touching & romantic for the proposal. I wish my bf does something similar. However, he had proposed to me last year anyway. Nothing to complain.

*sigh* Maybe I should print this thread out for my husband, seeing as I never did receive a proposal from him. *sigh* and *sigh* and *deep sigh*

Can I talk about mine since I am new?

    Hmmm, here it goes.
He told me on a tuesday that he's meeting me after lunch to go for a movie and asked me to wait for him at Plaza Singapura. I reached there on time and he's nowhere to be seen! I was getting pretty impatient and ring him up. He told me that he's there already and asked me to give him a few mins more. Being a good galfriend, I agreed. A few seconds later I saw him coming up from the escalator with this enormous bouquet of red roses. He has this big smile on his face, and we proceed to watch movie. After movie he told me that he's bringing me to somewhere special and we took a cab down to cityhall. I am begining to wonder what is going on as we stopped at one of the entrance at raffles city. He told to get prepared and soon i found out that we are dining at Equinox. I was staring out of the window from 70 floors at the Singapore's Night Scenery when he pop the question. I am so shocked! The peeps at the next table are all staring at us, being embarrassed I agreed. And soon th waiters begin to cheer and clap. He really surprised me on that day, cause I didn't know that he's going to ask me so soon and he's normally the no-so romantic type. But still, he's romantic on that day.

annabelle, thanks! I think it's in them, most of the time they are like that. That's probably one of the few reasons that we like them. I'm sure your fiance is a nice fellow who has very very special thing in him that you are attracted to.

LOL.. my gosh.. sounds like mine!! But to make things worst, he's my husband, not fiance! At least yours is 'fiance' and chances are, he might still proposed

I got married without a proposal, not even let's get married!

    So sad.. *sobs*sobs*

Till today, i'll still say the same old thing again and again jokingly to hb, i'm really too easy to catch! :booty: Simply bcoz i really wish and dreamt of having romantic proposal since young, even imagined how it'll be and turned out.. Just too bad..

But luckily, although he's not romantic, he is really humourous and never fails to make me laugh. He loves teasing me

Awww... its so nice to read so many of the entries. They have put a smile on my face!

I have yet recieved any marriage proposal from my bf, though I'm constantly wondering how it would be like.
But I witnessed this really sweet and romantic proposal by a guy at a concert.

    -----------------------------------------------------

Anyway, my bf and I went for Kevin Kern's concert at Esplanade some time last year.

Halfway through the concert, Kevin Kern stopped and interacted with the audience. He proceeded to tell the audience how he recieved an email from a guy before the concert requesting to make that night a memorable one for his loved one.

And the lights shifted to a couple at the balcony seat. The guy, with a mic and a bouquet of flowers, went down on one knee, in front of hundreds of people, popped the question to the lady. The lady, shocked, said yes of course.

    -------------------------------------------------

And I was thinking: Aaaawwww! That was so sweet! Even though I wasn't the lucky girl, I felt so touched witnessing that moment.

I witnessed a almighty sweet romantic marriage proposal! It was that of a girl friend. We were having a small gathering today at the Pizza Hut at Plaza Singapura. As we were about done with dinner, one of the waitress came along with a stalk of rose and asked for her name - Ms J. She presented my friend with a rose. The rose came with a card tagged on it writing "W". Nothing else, no other information. It was so puzzling for all of us.... her bf never really did came to our mind... J's a really attractive lady so its no surprise if the rose was from some admirer from the restaurant... but how would that guy know her name ya?

Before we got an answer, another waitress came over and presented her with a second stalk of rose.. this time the card read "I". Hmm... by now i could be rather certain that there would be more stalks of roses to come and the letters that would come.... True enough, one by one different waitresses came up to J with stalks of roses and the letters formed the words " Will u marry".. and "TA-DA!" Her bf appeared in a bright red shirt with a bouquet of red roses and a ring. He presented J with the roses and kneeled down and held J by her hands and started singing her a love song. The whole restaurant had their eyes on the couple... It was just so so so so so so so so so so sweeeeeeeeeeet! Dun u think so?? Of coz, J's answer was ... "I DO."

J's husband now is such a creative and sweet bf to J. Its not the first time he's done something so sweet! For J's previous birthday, he got us and another group J's close friends to all turn up for a surprise birthday celebration for her. Awwwww.... He had also planned for the restaurant to display a cd with clips of their pictures.. too bad the video recorder was down that day..

I bet most girls who're reading about this marriage proposal would be totally filled with envy now! When would we ever be able to find a guy whos gona be WILLING AND ABLE to do something sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo o sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet for us right? *sign*

hee.. I feel so blessed reading this.

If only, my boyfriend would do such romantic stuffs to me.

Share a story about my cousin.

She was attached to her husband for 8 years before tying the knot. As to how her husband proposed to her, it was sweet. IMHO.

Both her husband and her, went Kayaking with a group of friends. And, they were kayaking happily, until her husband jump into the water. Upon that, the group of friends, surrounding them in a circle, sang I wanna grow old with you, by Westlife. and then a banner, "Will you marry me?" came out at the same time.

I thgt this was a smart proposal, because, the guy need not kneel down, yet, appear be to lower than her.

    What do you people think?
