you can tell them you want an AD package only, and you want to borrow their gowns out for your own photograhy session.
i've tried asking bridal concept before, AD package is 2399 (if i remember correctly) and pay additional $80 to rent the gowns out, alteration provided.
di gio's AD package is quite ex if i remember correctly. same, you can rent gowns out, but they quoted me $180.
if you're not super picky on gowns, you can try seletar broadway, their package should be quite affordable.
Hi Miracle,
I guess I am not able to list down the shops as our requirements might be different.
e.g standard of gowns, number of gowns...etc. esp there are gowns meants for outdoor shoots and indoor shoots. So different bridal shops gave different rates.
Usually indoor shoots gowns are more new and premium, outdoor gowns are more worn out.
For mine, I managed to have:
- 3 sets of OTR gowns, one set of tux for my man for outdoors shoot (I had my shoot at national museum, gardens and CBD areas)
- 3 sets of OTR gowns (gown, kua and evening gown), 2 sets of tux for my man for actual day.
- Fathers and brothers' jackets for rental
Didn't wanted to have their MUA but end up also add that into my package as they let me choose the MUA that I want. (also mainly becoz I signed up very far ahead before my wedding, thus able to book the MUA that I want)
To me, the service is very good but there are bad reviews on other forum and some of my friends gave me the "yucks, that bridal shop ah" look. Coz it is not a well known bridal but it met my requirements lar.
During my photoshoot make up session, I realised there are other brides who also took ala carte with them too, they too had their own photographers.
Hope this helps!
I second Silhouette, btw. Lovely gowns, and reasonable.
My experience was that many boutiques do give you black face once you say you don't want the photography package. One way to "ID" the ones who don't have a problem is to see if their focus is more on design than offering "all in one" packages. Silhouette is one such example. If their focus is on design, then they don't intend to make much money off the photography because they don't do it themselves.
A la carte can be cheaper if you know what you want. It's also possible to get a higher standard, because you can control what you want.
i had a made-to-measure bridal package (including the ROM package) with New Image @ IMM..
Tell them things very clearly first-hand..I told them that I don't want their photographers but will probably borrow their studio (for the indoor shoot) and their gowns out (for the outdoor shoot)..for outdoor shoot, i don't need their make-up artist as well..basically alot of things which I felt was redundant or not to my liking, i told them i don't want..
be clear on what u want, and i'm sure there will be BS with made-to-measure or flexible packages.. =)
Hi ladies
I just setup a fuss free n no frills wedding gown rental service. You can visit my website www.madeforprincess.com.sg
Hope it helps![]()
Because i took up overseas prewedding shoots, hence, left with no choice, I'm doing ala-carte as well. But i felt that the BS in spore is really way above my budget, so in the end I MTM my wedding and evening gowns from mybeautifulgown.multiply.com , the owner, karen is kind enough to fit into my budget without compromising on the gown i fancied!
