Hi ladies,
i had a discussion with my bridal party the other day on corsages and i am DYI-ing.
one of them asked me what would my night corsage for them be like after telling them my plans for the corsage.
i was quite taken aback cause i thought only 1 corsage for each of the girl.
please advise... if 1 type for corsage for the day, and 1 different corsage for the night is given. TIA!!
usually 1 corsage will do... and have a few extras on standby as the corsages may be damaged or some parts dropped..
of course u can make 2 corsages if you have time.
depends on what the jie meis are wearing, u may want to change the corsage to suit the colors of their gowns or the theme.
corsages r mainly for tying round the wrist? what about those real flowers pinned to the chest area? if it's real flowers pinned to clothes then all bros n sis can get same flowers. but if sis get corsages then bros how?
yes, they are usually the same type of flower
the girls get a chain of smaller ones for the wrist
the boys get 1 stalk and some leaves to be pinned at the pocket of their shirt or on the blazer
i mean, my friends who handmade wrist corsages with fake flowers, i can't remember the brothers wear as their chest flowers. what do they wear?
thanks for the answers ladies.
can i also assume that the bridal party don't really need a corsage for the night event?
my bridal party will receive pearl bracelets with organza ribbion tied to it. the groom entourage will not get flowers, but tuck in a playful looking hanky into their pockets to matching their uniformed hats.
This was given to all the jie mei during my friend's wedding last year
I also wear it on my wrist during the wedding dinner!
are the flowers corsages for families necessary these days?
For me, I'm only giving corsages to parents and helpers such as bridesmaids and best men. I'm not giving to siblings coz I don't see the point of giving to people who didn't help in the wedding.
Parents as they brought us up and they're helping to pay for the wedding, so only right to give. But if siblings don't even lift a finger to help, why in the world should we give them? Had a huge quarrel with my SO over this but in the end, I got my way.
I think it's better to honour those who have helped out to show our appreciation than to waste the corsage on people who simply exists by relations.
hi, anyone got any idea how to diy a corsage?
Hi everyone,
I believe wrist corsages are more commonly just given to the "Jie Meis"... It was so for my wedding.... and just 1 per Jie Mei.... only for the day....
