Ni_cole, that is so sweet of you. maybe you can choose to play only the chorus part of the songs? cause it might take long if you wanna finish the whole song.![]()
just my![]()
so glad someone has post this topic up! *** i was the only one having such a problem!
i have also considered
1) play the piano
- managed to get an old piano but the keys went off and cant repair, couldnt start on lesson
*sigh*
2) to sing?
will have to sign up singing course.
one more suggestion for you ladies, one of my good friend.. she had wanted to sing but lost her voice.. and she did sign language.. it was so sweet i thought.
hai~~ i still cracking my head of what special thing i can do too..
One of hubby's cousin did a slideshow of his wife's photos from young to old and played it on the night as a tribute to her. Think slide show are quite common though.
I wanted to play a piece for my hubby on my wedding day too, but too bad the stage couldn't accomodate the piano (hence I couldn't play or sing to piano accompaniment) and I had no time to brush up on my flute skills.
hey nicole,
marriott and hyatt has the grand piano. you can try asking. not sure if they will charge.
Hi ladies,![]()
Really appreciate your help & suggestions.![]()

I thought I'm the only person around who intend to give our husbands-to-be a surprise during the wedding night. Obviously you ladies prove me wrong.![]()
Anyway, I'm afraid I might make a fool of myself on that night. A lot of worries about this idea of playing a song with piano. Don't know will I make him feel embarrassed in front of so many people, instead of a pleasant surprise. I'm scared he'll not appreaciate my efforts.![]()
We intend to hold the dinner next year end, so I think I'll have enough time to master a song for that night. But I'm stilling thinking of other surprises for him, hopefully can do something as sweet, but not as diffcult as playing piano.![]()
Anyone here has any suggestions on what other surprises can I give him?![]()
how about requesting for a piano in some other room instead of playing infront of everyone in the dinner ball room? i mean think "pretty woman" where richard gere practises the piano alone in the ballroom? think its more intimate...how about playing the piece "cant help falling in love with you?"
hths
Don't worry that your husband-to-be won't like it. Most guys will be appreciative as it makes the whole event more meaningful.
Actually if you are quite afraid of playing piano in front of so many people, how about getting a friend to play as your accompaniment and you sing the song to him? I think it will be sweet as well...then you can look at him while singing the songs and see his response...priceless!!![]()
i m thinking of learning belly dancing or pole dancing for SO....
maybe a private performance on wedding night
