Hope this reply is not too late. For my own ROM, I shifted my e-ring to my right hand so that my left hand ring finger is free for the wedding band. Otherwise it might look a little strange on photos and you might end up having to answer a lot of questions from friends asking about it.Originally Posted by bbj
Now I just wear them both together as a set on the left hand ring finger.
For what i know is that they always say that wedding ring should be worn where the heart is.
So from then on, everyone starts wearing the wedding ring on the left hand 4th finger. As for the engagement ring, it shall retire to your right hand when the wedding ring takes over. I think thats what most pppl do... of course for me too la![]()
Traditionally, it's the left hand... But I've seen people wear it on the right too.
For some reason, I always felt like my engagement ring should be on my middle finger (any hand)... Hmm... Any thoughts on that ladies?
Actually I've seen some women wear it on the left third fingers. But personally, I wear my e-ring on my left 4th finger. I guess ultimately, it's a matter of which finger you are comfortable with. just my 2 cents worth. hth!![]()
Yeah, I've seen women with the e-ring on the middle finger of the left hand, next to the wedding band (maybe because they had a fanciful e-ring. Think Tiffany's sort). But if both e-ring and wedding rings are fanciful... then... a bit overdoing it eh?
i've seen ppl wearing the e ring on the middle finger of either hand...
but wedding band is left hand 4th finger.... when at ROM they tell u to exchange rings and put it on left hand 4th finger....
i used to work in a jewellery store and we were taught that by right engagement ring is to be worn on right hand middle finger. after ROM can wear both solitaire and wedding band together on left hand 4th finger. but of course, we always say it's up to one's comfortability so we don't lose customers.personally, i prefer to wear solitaire on my right 4th finger and wedding band on my left 4th finger. i don't want either one to 1) outshine the other 2) materials scratching against each other will cause the band to lose its original content. just
la.

How about dating ring which your boyfriend buy for you? Where do you think a girl should wear it?
it depends on you.. actually i prefer wearing on my right hand, but my guy wears his on his left hand, so it will look funny if we wear on different hands so... i was rather turn off when he asked me to tailor-make our dating ring according to my left hand ring size because i always felt that it's for wedding band to be worn during wedding, but on the other hand i also felt his sincerity that he wants to settle down with me eventually. so, in the end, i wear mine on my left hand as well. indeed, frds or strangers may ask if i'm married or not because my ring is worn on my left hand. but once they know it, they'll not ask anymore. i think most importantly is feeling confortable.Originally Posted by Yvone
Here in Netherlands, if they are wedding bands, the Catholics will wear on the 4th finger left hand, the Protestants will wear on 4th finger right hand..![]()
I think in Indonesia, most people wear their wedding band on the 4th finger right hand though. Not sure if it's custom related..
but i did certainly hear before, that a woman with a solitaire on the 4th finger right hand indicates independence (as in "I am a woman, hear me roar" kinda independence).. haha. Maybe it's just a commercial gimmick.![]()
