With your stated budget, I will go for choice #2,4 or 5. I think it is not worth it to be paying so much for #1 & 3 as they are quartz movement watches and don't hold value. You can also consider the following watches which is within your budget :

i quite like the chopard design too.

i wont get rolex although it has the resale value. its no longer the kind of watch people will buy if they want designs?

thanks for your advice...didn't know if quartz the value would be lesser.
thought AP was quite a good brand so didn't really go into the details of the watch :p
the zenith u recommended is pretty good too
