Hi guys, would just like to ask if anyone of you knows how to prevent white straps from yellowing?
Last year, I bought a white Adidas watch even though I knew that white would become dirty easily. I only bought it after the shopkeeper assured me that the strap would not yellow and that if I'd stained it, I could 'easily remove the stains by using an eraser to rub it away'.
Sounds incredible but because I was already in love with the watch, I bought it just the same. And then it yellowed within a week
My friend told me it's possible to prevent the strap from yellowing! Is this true?

to speak the truth, its quite impossible to prevent it. white straps (both leather or rubbery kind) will turn yellow sooner or later. one shop owner told me its due to sweat n all.
Me too have this problem. I am wearinga Casio Baby G. Have this watch for 2 yrs. Though I hardly wear, i left it in the open. I think I better wipe it clean and store it in the box that comes with it, though it is a paper cardboard box ='(
So far it is still quite white..except watch strap 'locker' think we can prevent it fr turning further yellowish by wiping with a clean dry cloth b4 we store it after each time we wear it. Avoid wetting it with any liquid and try not to rub it against the table top or have in come in constant contact esp if there is any rubbing motion. This is my feeling la.. just fro your reference though =) hee\
What abt u? any updates on how u keep ur watch yellowish free?
I have a swatch watch with white leather straps too.
it's the mother's day edition (im not a mother but it was a love at first sight with the watch for me!)
i'm also hoping that it can stay as white for the longest time as possible.![]()
I think the only way is to wear them often, so that it won't turn yellow soon. That and cleaning it weekly, i guess![]()
me too i have a white plastic strap casio baby g.
had it for many yrs and its still white! i gus probably u have to wash n dry it properly everytime u wear it. althou i dont practice that. just occasional wash with soap.
