    Hi girls

My Mac-Addict hubby deals with Apple Computers (at work..at home...everywhere..sigh...you get the picture)..He's always among the first ones to know of any new stuff coming up etc...(he even has a share in Apple Computers!!??!...heard of anything crazier???) if you girls has any questions, you can post them here and you know, I can ask him to help, if he knows. Just a thought...(because I know he's going to LUURVE sharing whatever he knows cos, in his own words, "Mac Evangelist...I am"!

yup i wanna know how's tiger too...

it doesn't include Life05 right? it's a separate thing altogether?

I've got another question for Mac Evangelist

Is it possible to create a movie with idvd (life04) and copy out the file to burn in external dvd burner. cuz silly me bought the one with combo drive and not super drive, cannot burn dvds that i created! i have done some research on this but so far the answer is gotta upgrade to life05 which is really a waste as i only bought my ibook nov last year.

And you girls are correct...the Mac rocks! Graphics soo nice, and the GUI is very user friendly. One prob tho'....how do we delete a program? Just drag the app to the trashbin?..
    Hi!

Hahaha...he sounds like Yoda??? He IS one!!..heehee...ok, re: your post above, I've asked him, he said "yes, drag them to the trashbin and empty the bin"...well hope this helps!

    Hiya Crystal

Sorry for the delay. Here goes...

    (1) Yes, Tiger doesn't include iLife '05. You've to purchase separately. But my hubby has used Tiger for a while and he personally thinks it's worth the upgrading.

    (2) My hubby doesn't think iDVD 4 lets you do this but iDVD 5 allows you to save your completed movie as a disc image but he's not sure if you can use Disk Utility to burn the image to external DVD burner (he doesn't think so though...). iDVD can only be used with Apple SuperDrives. If you're going to buy an external DVD burner, you should also get Roxio Toast 6 Titanium. You can use it to add menus, buttons and chapters to your movie and then use it to burn to your external DVD burner.

    Well, hope this helps! ...

Don't worry Dandelion, you'll soon get used to it cos I was a PC user before I met my hubby (he was born with a Mac by his side..). I found it easier to navigate than PC, so no worries ya, you'll soon figure your way around.

In any case, if you should need any information on Mac and Tech support (if you encounter any problems with the Mac and any related hardware/software etc), below is a good website to turn to. It only requires free registration.

    Free Online Mac Tech Support

    Hope this helps!

    Hmm hi babe,

since your hubby is a apple yoda, i need to rant to him and ask him for advice!!

i bought my G4 Powerbk atg the PC show, got conned it was on tiger, but actually it was running on panther instead. I went back to the shop, changed my PB cuz the staff there found out that my Pb was powered on at 3pm , which is even b4 i bought the PB.

Now, i need to reg my applecare again, and the 1800-my-apple told me to give them 1 MONTH and call back again, they say they have probs registering me!

What can i do about it? I've yet to collect my tiger disc!

So upset over the lousy service of apple.

Ahem, it's inconvenient to say it here, but PM me for want of cheap softwares. For free useful softwares, you can try http://www.versiontracker.com/macosx.

hi girls, i was thinking of getting an iBook cos my PC is dying on me.. Apple center is giving additional 512ram for free or should i ask my BF to buy for me from NUS where i can get 3 years warranty for free? Is additional ram necessary? Or warranty more vital?
