Hi Everyone
I had this message when I tried to log in to my computer....
"Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\vgaoem.fon
You can attempt to repair this file by starting windows setup using the original setup CD-ROM. Select 'r' at the first screen to start repair."
Does anyone have the original setup CD-ROM? The windows is installed together when I bought the computer so I do not have the CD-ROM. I'm using Windows XP.
Anyone encounter this before? Can anyone advise?
Hi, Windows repair disks are quite easy to get. You can choose to download it off the internet or take your pc to a repair shop that also handles windows installations, i'm sure they'll have the repair disc around. Usually its an easy fix and you probably won't even need to format your pc thereby losing precious data.
