Hey, anyone owns a Samsung Galaxy Tab yet?
I just bought mine today as a Christmas present for hubby...still playing around and trying to make full use of all their functions...it looks damn cool
Let's share our review and experiences here so to minimize hiccups..
Faced my first hiccups yesterday in getting the phone to detect the starhub data toggle, but found the solution in the end...![]()
It's small, handy and the 7-inch tablet was smaller than expected cos even my small little palm holds it nicely but definitely not for long, it can become quite uncomfortable or feel "heavy" after a while. Look at the colours and brightness of the display, LOVELY!! It's auto-brightness feature is also useful as it senses the surrounding and adjusts the screen lighting accordingly.
Although it's small, it did provide a pretty good screen size for most Android apps. Hubby's favourite game "Angry Birds" looks really great, Facebook and Tweetdeck works pretty smooth too. Best of all, unlike iPAD, the Android’s support for Flash enable the ability to view thousands of websites with videos and other multimedia sources and we get to choice between turning it off or only on-demand. Cool isn't it?
Another unique app will be the Samsung Readers Hub, enables reading newspapers, books and magazines through third-party vendors. Overall, we find it really easy and the flipping actions on the screen looks as if we are flipping the physical newspapers coupled with the pinch and zoom functions.
Plug and Play Music and Video apps shows off all the stuffs we installed on the microSD card and this is way easier than iPad which many of the times required conversion of files to Apple-friendly format. Camera comes with the latest Panorama effect which we enjoyed the wide angle view photos taken. Nice!
One of the features which hubby was greatly impressed was Samsung Galaxy Tab by itself is also a Router which is able to transmit internet signal to other devices like phones and laptops which means greater convenience and cost savings on data plans.
Most importantly, Samsung Galaxy Tab is a PHONE but highly suggested to use a Bluetooth headset as it's quite not possible to hold this device for communication and video conferencing is a breeze with it's front-facing camera. On battery life, with brightness set to Auto, the device can last an entire day or more.
Are you considering one for yourself this Christmas too? Join in the fun and share with me your experience and review too!!! http://mizukislimmingjourney.blogspot.com/
i think it's a total turned off (to me) to use it as a mobile phone.. the width is too wide for those with small palms.. it gave me the feeling of using something flat to slap the face kind of thing..
but i'm impressed with the size to use it as an alternative for ipad...
