scarlet135: Uni IT Student should go for Eor S series.... EA is 2.35kg and S is 2.0kg. Uni need to carry laptop to school everyday so any heavier is a no-no, I think for IT faculty you might have to install programs to compile coding, debugging, etc so i3 minimum...
EA15 is $1399, S115 is $1799. <-- EA15 price is *_*

If you want i5 processor...EA16 is $1799, S117 is $2299... other than being lighter, S-series has ambient light sensor that will brighten/dim your screen according to the environment you are in; and hard-disk protection function for people who use their laptops while moving around (buses etc) so that it proects the HDD from bad sectors/data corruption/hard disk crashes. It also has a backlight keyboard, for S117 which comes only in black.
