I use a special microfiber cloth to clean. Camera microfiber clothes will do the trick too.

I am currently using this brand called Dicota and it sells a set of the cleaning fluids - one for screen and the other for casing. I dont really know where to get this one as I got this as a gift during some computer fair at the taka area last year
It's a spray type and you can just spray a few times on a clean tissue and clean![]()
Ok..thanks...stilafaux and kare2711! where can i get that special microfibre cloth? My brother uses um...window cleaner for his laptop screen..
no idea about the dust on the keyboard, but i use a "rubber-like keyboard protector" to protect my keyboard from possible food attacks.Originally posted by razzleydazzley
yeah.. ibook sure is the beat.. it has been serving me well for the past three years and i am sure it will continue to for the next ten years.. hahaha
actually i use a screen protector..
actually my headache is how to remove those dirt and dust trapped in my keyboard... any smart ideas?![]()
the keyboard protector is about $40, but i got it free when i bought my laptop...
i'm using an ibook too. =)

actually posting here because i've a super nice vaio for sale. selling for a friend here because i think it's suitable for ladies... go
take a look at my thread in cozy swap
i wonder whether Macintosh or normal laptops is better. Need it for my design course.. humm.. need to get it during this holidays~ and useful advice?![]()
My class mate've an Acer, it hangs occasionally too~~
If design is your main objective, then get a mac mini. They are good for that particular purpose. Look at all advertising/designing companies. Majority of them use Mac.
i'm actually a web developer/designer intending to buy a notebook, but can't decide between mac or windows. i'd definitely love to have a mac since my desktop's a windows system but i'm afraid there'll be problems sychronizing between my pc and notebook, as well as not being able to get used to the new system and stuffs... i know though that a mac's great for designing work, but i do web programming as well? :eh: :eh: :eh:
have only 'played' with a mac a couple of times.
for the mac converts, how was it like when you just made the switch? any one using both and sychronizing between them?
i heard from my friend that mac definitely is good notebk for designer... mac is quite user-friendly ***...
last time my friends always told me tha mac is not user friendly but after checking with a mac user i realised it is not. i had used mac before and find it almost the same as windows pc. regretted ,,,should have get ibook instead...i like the unique design and cool icons
Reverie, when I first got my powerbook, I was happily experimenting with exchanging files between my desktop which is running on Windows and my mac. No problem at all. As a result, I have a small home network running.
I have used Microsoft files (word, Excel etc) on both the mac and windows without any of the versions complaining to me about incompatibility.
Only thing that the mac is lacking is games. If you do not intend to use your mac mainly for gaming, then a mac is a better choice, imo.
hehee.. the part about not being able to play games on the mac is good for me because, well... i want it as a workstation, and only a workstation.
another consideration however, is the weight of the mac. they seem rather heavy to keep lugging them around. any opinons? and.. comparisons between ibook and powerbook?
thanks for the replies girls.![]()

both look slim to me and don't think they are that heavy.
why not visit the apple store personally so that u can see it yourself?
as long as it is not above 3kg should not be that heavy, my note book is 3.5kg and i am like carrying a bag of bricks
