i dont think everything at comex is cheaper than outside. sometimes pricing are much higher. even for toners, i can get from suppliers directly and the price is much lower than buying at comex, giving lousy things like bear or t shirts. who needs that!

True...there are always things which can be bought cheaper elsewhere,like what you mentioned,straight from the supplier.

It's generally no secret that Sim Lim Square sells a lot of PC components cheaper than COMEX,and without all that crowd too. For me though,I usually go to COMEX and such shows for other kind of gadgets.

quincyjx, one of my favorite brands is fujitsu... i have been holding one since 3-4 years ago and it still running well.... my advice is to go for those MIJ lappies... maybe its perception but i rather pay more for MIJ products... the gadgets usually last longer...

blingg, actually it depends on what you looking for... there may be some special deals going on in such shows... or else, they will throw in more free gifts... for e.g. give you 1 more SD card for camera purchase...
sometimes can request for cashback instead of these free gifts... must be more thickskinned to ask the promotors....

josselim, eee series is under ASUS... ASUS is previously a motherboard manufacturer.. they are from Taiwan... eee series is the netbook series. the reviews are quite good for ASUS... can take a look...

chungfr, agree that one can get better pricing at SLS... but if you dont know the pricing well, you may get conned... there are some unscrupulous shops there... and they usually think girls easier to con... i only go to recommended and reputable shops there.. the rest, i siam..

Well,that would be stereotyping if you think they only target girls. Whatever it is,it is best to do some research before making any purchase. Quite a number of girls whom I know doesn't really spend some time to do their homework when buying things.

haha.. of course they not only target girls.. but usually, they think girls easier to con... as you mentioned, girls generally not into technie stuff/research so much easier to con...

Hi there,you can try looking around in COMEX,but I seriously doubt that you'll find cartridges there at a cheaper price than Sim Lim Square.
