Did u do a backup first? Maybe u try backing up the phone n see if the applications reflected..

I think you will need a sim card reader if u want to transfer data from M1 to singtel.. otherwise u might have to manually key in the contacts

Or u can try using itunes. Try inserting your M1 sim card n then use itunes to sync your contact details afterwhich changed to the singtel sim card n sync once more.. (cannot guarantee that it will work, cause i never tried b4)

I am still figuring out the various functions of the phone. Not used to a touch screen smart phone yet LOL. I have not even figured out the function of the itunes

How about SMSes stored in the old M1 SIM card? Do you think those can be transferred to the new Singtel SIM card too?

Btw, am I right to say that the iphone stores contacts and SMSes in the phone memory rather than in the SIM card? There is an option in my Samsung phone that I can choose whether I want to store SMSes or contacts in my SIM card or in the phone memory. Is there such a function in iphone as well? Advices appreciated pls

Hi there,

I don think u can transfer smses from M1 sim to Singtel sim using itunes n iphone does not allow u to save the smses in sim unless the phone has been jail-break. Jail-break means that the phone will be able to have applications that are from non-itunes or apple application store sources.. FYI, Jail-break will cause warranty to be void..

only works for contacts but not sms.

for contacts, insert your old sim, go to settings -> mail, contacts, calendar -> import sim contacts. after which, insert ur new sim and use.
