3rd Generation Iphone.

I just sold my E90 and decided to get an Iphone. but i heard there'll be the 3rd generation coming up. is it worth the wait? does anyone know what extra features it gonna be? and when will it be in Singapore?

I would love to get one i phone to use too. But the price is too high. I went to the handphone shop to check the prices, and the boss charge me at around $1100+

michiemich yah actually my line is up for upgrade in two months time. i want to get hold of an Iphone but i heard from some friends and news that the 3rd generation is gonna be lauched - predicted on summer 2009. with 5mgp camera and probably blouetooth as well. but am not too sure thats why im here to attain more info before getting one, cos i dont want to feel regret when the 3rd generation is on the shelve after i got my 2nd generation iphone - you get what i mean? human nature always wants to get the latest design.

Shandy Ho maybe you could consider signing up a line with singtel? its between $300++ to $500++ for two years plan depending on the type of plan as well as the size of the iphone memory.

myanz: yup i totally understand what you mean. if not just wait and see lo.. because i'm sure even though it comes out summer this year, i'm sure there will be problems with the 1st batch of iPhones as technology always does. hehe. so maybe you can wait a while.. hehe

I'm thinking of buying one too, but refuse to sign such expensive plans with SingTel...

Yup i think there is MMS function.. which is good.. i heard there's bluetooth as well which is a plus too! and i've also heard that they wanna make it in a way that you can run a few applications at the same time.. to me i feel with such improvements i'm sure the 1st batch of the 3rd Gen will have some problems.. i think i'm gonna wait and see.. ahaha

myanz: ya go get the 2nd Gen if you really can't wait.. i like the 2nd Gen though. My sis, bro, sis-in-law & father are all using the 2nd Gen one. haha no complains coming from them.

There is no news as to when the new version iPhone will really come out yet so I think its better for anyone thinking of getting the iPhone to make sure you at least get the 3G one.

There will be a new release to the OS so in order to make sure you can use MMS, get the 3G version. See -

currently using omnia, but after laying my hands on my cousin's iphone, i want to change! iphone is so fun with so many interesting applications! i hope the 3rd gen iphone they will extend to other service provider too, my line is m1!

i'm deciding between the 2nd gen iphone or to wait for the 3rd gen. camera function quite important to me, cos 2nd gen iphone only 2mp. currently using omnia, which is so boring.
