Thought I will use this thread for Wii lovers or those who are keen to purchase a wii. Lets share our wii experience, where we bought our wii from and what are your favourite wii games.

Let me start the ball rolling..

I am currently sourcing out for places that are selling wii at a reasonable price. So do share with me how much you bought it for and what games are fun. Was thinking of getting the gun zapper or something like that. I played cooking mama in ds before so I reckon it is going to be the same for Wii.

My friend bought it from a shop in white sands. Local set (1 yr warranty) cost $458 and US set (1 mth warranty) cost $438 i think. Weird.. i heard some places US set has 3 months warranty, some say 6 months. So I'm quite confused. Not sure will get cheated or not.

I think its like the mat we use to do our yoga. and maybe other kind of games/sports we play using our legs. like dancing, i think.

I thought usually Japan set is more expensive than US set? i think local set = US set?

I bought my US mod set a few months back at sim lim. Found the "cheapest one" at the 2nd level game shop. After we decided to buy, then he added in GST. Ended up, we paid more than $600 for the mod set, an adapter. Super expensive!

By the way, anyone know wii games are using CD or DVD?

The price of wii fit will increase as per the person who sold the set to me. He said coz the demand is higher than supply, so the wii was selling for more than $200 i think. How can they increase the price as and when they want. so unethical!

some dealers are really unethnical... i got my Wii from a shop in Queensway (level 1) shopping centre for $620, modded set with 2 controller, 30 games (i am lazy to download). No warranty. I nv really sourced out a lot of places but decided this is a comfortable price to pay and went ahead to get it...

that's a US set by the way... from what I heard, US and Japan set have not much difference except the main menu. If the games are in english, it will be english even on jap set.

all of you bought the modded set? i think 600+ for mod set quite standard. That is what i heard while i source around. Where to download wii games and how do you upload into your wii after you download the game?

I saw lucky plaza selling wii fit for $150 last week.

Where will you all recommend that I get my wii? I want to buy it after work later.

The game and the board comes together.
The games consist of yoga, exercises and games.
The games consist of like hula hoop, stepping up, skiing, balancing etc.
All which basically requires the usage of the board.
Btw, you will need to set up the user to play as it will do weighing and balance test each day for you.

I think the price that u paid is good. Coz mine has only 1 controller and 2 games. But you have 30! They gave you 30 games cd?

I didn't know that wii games can be downloaded. but you have to burn the game to a cd/dvd right? anyway, like what I said, the original game is undetected in the laptop. so cannot duplicate.

And the pirates are very clever. The games that they sell cannot be burnt as the area around the inner round thingy (I hope you understand what i am saying) is burnt using lighter to prevent duplication.

coco mademoisell, the games are from malaysia... Some of the shops in sim lim sell them too but i think malaysia is cheaper and at least they make the effort to package it.

i see. I am still contemplating to buy mod or not mod. If I want to buy none mod, does anyone of you know can I get a good deal?

you have 30 games? meaning he gave you 30 CDs? can share?
