My pacnet 512k broadband sub is up for renewal soon and I'm tempted to switch to Singnet or Starhub. Pacnet is super slow!![]()
I've heard bad things about Starhub since net access depends on cable usage within your area? Seems like speeds can vary quite a lot.
Decisions, decisions...Which IP do you use? TIA!

Mods, I couldn't find a thread on this topic so I started a new one. Feel free to merge if there's an existing thread
Starhub! I was concerned about the same issue, but have had no problems. Not even with 3 computers sharing the connection now in our flat. I was with Singnet Broadband before, which was ok.
Starhub! Esp if you're a downloader
But I'd just stick to PacNet or SingNet for general use ...
Eh, if you're not particular then go for whatever promo/GWP at the moment! If my eyes didn't decieve me, I saw SingNet giving away iPod minis last week when you sign up for their 1500 kbps plan at the roadshow in NAC!

I am a faithful user of starhub cable. never fails me.
I've been using Starhub since its trial period ..it's alright except their customer service rep SUCKS bigtime
wow, seems like Starhub is the overwhelming choice. Is everyone using Max1500 or is anyone on Max3000? Anyone who's used both? Is there a difference? I don't do a lot of downloading but I don't have the patience to wait when I do![]()

Starhub is good for people living in landed property & condo where the same bandwidth is shared among less people.
Singtel & Pacnet ADSL on the other hand is a better option for HDB dwellers where you get all the bandwidth to yourself.
Using Singtel broadband here, find it all right, download and surfing speed are ok .. signed up last month and they're giving away a ipod now? argh!![]()
I'm with Singnet Broadband as well. So far so good for me. But I need to restart my internet connection after the first half an hour. Not too sure whether is it the computer or the modem. Tried calling Singnet up and they said it's the phone line and I need some filtering device for it. Anyway, doesn't kill to restart the pc.
I have this problem as well when I just started out using Singnet broadband. After 1o mins or so, my connection will go off. In the end need to get the filter device for every of my phones in the house before my connection runs well again.
this is actually my worry... those cotters that are currently using starhub, are you in a HDB flat or private house / condo? I'm in an old HDB estate (Commonwealth) so not sure what the speeds would be like :huh:Originally posted by baobei

I was previously with Singnet so I know that I shouldn't have the problems that artichoke & miracle experienced.

i'm staying in landed too & sharing with 2 other users. no problems with starhub
bf's in HDB & he doesn't have any problems either. very tempted to switch over to singnet though since they're giving out the free mini ipod!
