Planning for a couple treat for my hubbie. Any recommendations?
Hi Jessie!
I don't know your budget range but these are the spa you might want to consider for your hubbie and you:
1.) St Gregory's @ Novena Sq - they always have something like a couple trial or sampler...
2.) Renewal Day Spa - they are providing deserts where you both can enjoy..
3.) Estheva Spa - which will cost you more but surely their service is good...
If you already chose and experience any spa pls. mind sharing it to us huh...
Thanks a loT!
has anyone tried ikeda spa at bt timah?

Anyone know of any home spa in Ang Mo Kio?
Please share,thanks
I just tried out this deal from insing @ Boutique Spa, it was such a marvellous experience. For the trial price of $38 you get 75 mins massage and 45 mins hair spa. I did not have high expectations initially as it is at Miramar Hotel which is a little out of the way. But stepping in, it really feels like a hotel spa, the staff are highly professional and greet you with a smile and non-pushy at all. The massage was so relaxing, i really felt the tension sap away. I found it quite curious they include a hair spa, but the hair spa was like massaging your hair and very comfortable as well. I would recommend definitely to try this.

This review is for Ikeda Spa (Dunearn Road, beside Cold Storage).
I went yesterday with a friend after a groupon voucher. Did a quick verification online before buying the voucher and saw they won a few awards including from Her World Magazine. Im not a spa believer as their service kinda hangs around the thin line most of the time. Anyways since the online reviews were looking fine, i decided to buy the voucher and to give their service a go.
It was only about 30mins away from home and i took a bus down. Halfway down, discovered i left my mobile at home. Since the vouchers were printed by my friend, I had no choice but to rush back home to get my phone. No address and no contact details , i wouldnt be able to find the spa location.
Upon reaching there, a group of 4-5 people were standing behind the counter, including a middle-aged man who is pretty plump. Although the ladies were nicely dressed in kimono, none of them greeted us, dont even mention smiles. Instead, i was being told they have to cut our time by 30mins since we were late and they cant extend for us due to the long queue of customers behind us. My friend did a quick calculation and we are only supposed to be cut by 15mins. Did someone fail their maths?
Facial itself was basic and simple. I told them to forego extraction and that should have saved them the 15mins. My beautician was proficient in english but she was good in her massage though.
After my facial was done, the same lady who cut our time barged into my room. Yes without without knocking first and checking if she could enter. And she asked me to leave the room as there is another customer waiting. I felt so humiliated since i wasnt fully clothed yet!!!! When I told her a min...she forcefully re-enter the room and this time she exclaimed they cant wait anymore and had to pack the room. And she had the cheeck to bring in her staff and started to do cleaning! Even ask me to go to the toliet to do my stuff instead. HOW RUDE!
Its still not the end, when she shifted the machine, the machine actually knocked into me. Doesnt she have eyes to see??? I was the one with my back facing them rushing to put my shirt on!!! And all these while, no apologies and any sense of remorse.
When i stepped out of the room, my beautician wanted to bring me to the washroom, this lady took over and said let her do it instead. So i was being brought downstairs. In my mind, i was thinking, Oh so customers doing facials on the second level have to climb stairs each time? Then came another drama, the lady instead of showing me the washroom, went behind the counter and stood there. My beautician who followed behind saw me standing there and wanted to bring me over was suddenly cut by this lady and being asked to serve other customers instead! And i literally froze there for a full minute just starring with horrifying amazement.
There were definately many other rooms available and i dont even see them having more than 3 customers at that same time i was to leave!
And of course, no one asked for reviews nor bided goodbye.
Is this really the spa that won awards? Not only were the staff not emphatic, they were extremely rude. Such attitude is a disgrace to the service industry. Could the press have been blind or been bribed? But yes i believe people could paste whatever they like too like the hair salon owner case who claims he had cut celebrities hair!
IKEDA SPA simply do NOT deserve it at all. Beware~!
I recently purchased on impulse a 4 hr massage package at Spa Symphony @ Somerset 313. I bought it because it was a really nice place with good massage. However, I also have another package somewhere else which I only later found out is not finishing soon.
SO, I want to sell my tiny package and I will do so at a loss.
I got a special rate of $66/hr so I paid $66 x 4 plus 7% GST = $282.48
I am willing to let this go at $60/hr and absorb the GST myself (punishment for buying on impulse haha) so you only have to pay $60 x 4 = $240.
You can spend the 4 hrs any way you want like e.g. 4 x 1 hr, or 2 x 3hr, or 8 x half an hr and can share the package with anyone. The massage is really good and the environment is v nice and convenient. I just don't need it.
PM me if interested
