Hi all, have anyone tried Porcelain? Going for a facial this Saturday. Apparently they are quite popular 'cause I had to book more than a week in advance.![]()
will be going *** for the trial! pretty excited@![]()
hey what kind of facial and what skin do you have?
cause i tried the aquapeel at clearsk and it's oh s good! hahaha! it's like instant radiant. i saw it on naomi liu and audrey lim's blogs. they were all raving about it.
and im very glad i tried la. my friend bought a package with them. only $688 for i think 7 sessions? that time cny discount they were having promo. but sometimes they sms me their promos cause i sign up their sms thing so i can keep updated ***
Since there are some replies, i thought probably i should do a review.
The location is about 10-15 minutes walk from Outram Park MRT station. Pretty convenient but may not have parking lots nearby if you drive.
I had break-outs of white heads at my forehead and chin since end 2009. They have only 1 therapist and her assistant. That could be the reason for the wait.
The original price of the Porcelain First Time Facial is $98. Current promotion price is $48.
The facial actually doesn't include the use of machine (as what the therapist told me), however, she used ultrasound on my face. She wanted to use UV but as i was wearing contact lenses, she couldn't.
There was no massage after the facial, to my dismay. Because my usual facial salon gives me a shoulder massage after the facial, i was sort of expecting it from them as well.
After the facial, I sat down with the therapist for my evaluation. She said that with the use of the ultrasound and the products she used (from USA), the facial actually exceeds $300. The package which she offered is $2,800 for 10 sessions (UP $3,800). She advised me to go weekly for a month, then monthly when things improve. To me, my package would at most, finish within 6 months!
She also showed me cards of her current clients who are also facing major problems. IMO $2,800 is extremely expensive, i would never pay for a package with that kind of pricing. She did explain to me the reasons and all but no hard selling.
2 weeks later, I went to my usual facial salon and she only charge me $55 for ultrasound (products from france and germany)![]()
but how was the facial experience? liek the skill and etc.
hey pink, thanks for the great review. i actually went there previously and now their customer. so thought i can share with liying or whoever is interested in Porcelain
for parking, they told me to park at the new HDB, Pinnacle @ Duxton and its only 3 mins walk across the road
i thought the facial was quite amazing because they are the no-frills, go straight into treatment people. I believe we have the same therapist (coz there are only 2), she was by far one of the most professional I've experienced.
My skin was very smooth, albeit a little red after the treatment. She spent alot of time extracting and when i asked her how come the other customer gets a massage and I dont, she explained that we have to compromise on the massage for now because my skin is really bad and needs more time extracting. Those who gets massages are when their skin has recovered and need less time to extract.
For my trial, she only did Ultrasonic, and although it was a very common equipment, the results seem quite different from my other facials. The therapist says its not the equipment but extraction which is they key.
I paid for the $2800 package, but thought it was quite worth it coz they gave me a full set of products that cost $900 which can be used for 1 year.
I've spent $$ on packages @ many places, and my skin still so bad. For Porcelain, after 1 facial, I see so much difference, that's why I signed and also because they don't hard sell. They told me to go back & think. I only paid during my 2nd appt.![]()
Plus after using the products I was very impressed. My spots lightened a little after my skin peeled and also my black/whiteheads reduced. My pores also seem slightly smaller. So i think it works for me.
Honestly, I feel that if you are the sort who wants to go for treatment based facials to get better skin, Porcelain would be my strong recommendation. But if you only want to go get a shoulder massage, & relaxing facials, there are many other salons that do that for a fraction of the price. :D
Hope this helps...
280 or 380 for a facial is really pricey!![]()
hmm, well, i do think its subjective. personally, I'd pay for a good treatment because skin-care is long term.
New York charges $5000 for a facial package & Jean Yip $3000. For Slimming, Expressions charges $10,000 to $20,000. And for hair growth, my husband spent $25,000 over 3 years in Trichocare. So I think $280 or $380 per facial (if they use real good stuff), is quite worth it.
my friend asked me how much would i pay to look 10 years younger when i'm 40, or 15 years younger when i'm 50, i said 30% of my existing wealth... and well, i guess when we start young, it would be like paying in installments. :D
I heard about Porcelain, they seem to be the facial hype lately on FB & Flowerpod. Got an appt with them in May... quite excited about it!Lets hope they are as good as what ppl say they are!
Hey, there's a promo gg on for Porcelain!
it's $88 for 7 treatments (incld the famous revital-eyes) and so on...
I bought mine already but apparently they need 8 more to activate the deal.... those interested pls go get it at
https://www.vouchies.com/deals/index...5-AT-PORCELAIN !!
the website is not working...can i call them to check the promo out? or is the promo valid only on that web?
ya it's only valid on vouchies.com, it's working *** cos i'm at it now.
hmm.. why is *** a censored word..
it's probablly not censored, fionnerina - probably was a short form or singlish that appears asterisked in posts - just type out the word fully and it should show.
