Got my back scalded during hot stone massage at Chrysallis Spa many years ago. Didn't realise how bad it was til I felt the size of the blister. The massage was very traumatic as the therapist kept saying the temperature was right, that my body would get used to it even though I kept telling her to remove the hot stones. Moreover, her strokes were haphazard and she kept commenting on my white spots.

I currently have a package that costs 5k with them and I really regret it so i hope to get my money back. I went to them becuz i want to get rid of my stretchmarks after giving birth to two kids. They ASSURED me and said that they can get rid of it and that is a "guarantee". I stupidly believed them cuz they were so persuasive and thus ended up signing a 5000 package with them. and they told me I had to sign up on the spot so that I can get the special deal of 5k. So i did...........

I went to my doctor a few days later and my doctor said that stretch marks are very very unlikely(he said impossible actually) to remove! Argh! i spoke to them about having my money back (since they kinda lied to me) but they refused. When i threatened them about going to CASE, they just brushed me off and said: go ahead! =(((

So right now, I have a court hearing about this matter next tues(15th). anyone has any advice? and if u had any bad experience or know anyone with bad exp, can u pls pls pls contact me or get ur them to call me?I am really worried about this so i will really appreciate it if u can contact me..

OMG suki_desu, ignore them.. size M is nowhere near to fat.. If they are that good, they wouldn't need to do any roadshows to get sales. If i were you, i would probably say, "Fat can still diet. At least better than a con woman like you." or maybe the "I don't talk to peasants." sentence by tessalov.

this kind of slimming centres seriously lack standards and ethics forcing people to sign packages but yet not delivering what was promised..

OMG that's very serious, 5k, chances are you will lose your case.
I mean cos my mom got duped a long time again by Marie France, and it was the *exact* same scenario.

however she didn't go to court, because once you've signed on the dotted lines,
you've compelled and agreed to their terms.

they can say whatever they want,
and chances are, they have like a membership base of say, 20000 women in Singapore?

and if it's just you who wants to file a complaint,
which I'm sure they hire special personnel to deal with,
then yeah, it's kinda considered your money thrown into the deep blue sea.

I would suggest just finishing the course... since you really paid for it.

stretch marks WILL NEVER go away, unless you do surgery to it, honestly.

however, I'm sure this 5k that you spent, will at least firm the skin.

hello, i'm rather new here but after reading about your situation reminded me of my very very bad experience a few years ago at New Yo** Sk** Solutions. My friends and I were approached by a few young guys hired by them ALONG THE STREETS OF ORCHARD to round up customers for them. Apparently, they offered a free facial session with no strings attached. Naively, we followed them to the outlet at Ngee Ann City where the entire nightmare begun. Once you stepped in, its as if these people are waiting to sink their claws onto you to sign up their packages. At first, all was well and the facial session went on smoothly. But immediately after, oh my goodness, the person who was serving me kept persuading me to sign up their package. I wasn't really impressed at the facial so I said i didnt want to, after all they said beforehand that there was no strings attached. She didnt allow me to go off, instead I was stuck there for nearly three hours and i was kept isolated in a room where they showed ugly pictures of acne and facial problems. Then, the manager was brought in to persuade me to sign up a package too. I was really frustrated and angry and I just wanted to leave!! At the end, I told them that they were simply wasting their time on me as I wouldnt sign up any packages with them. The last straw was after seeing how adamant I was at signing up, they 'cursed' me that I will have skin problems if I do not return for another facial.

miss sunshine, i don know how to help you on your case but I really empathise with you. I can understand the frustration that you felt since I have experienced something similar too. I've learnt my lesson and now I avoid beauty salons and spas no matter how enticing their promotions are. Once bitten, twice shy!

I'm afraid u might lose your case l.or. I went thru similar case before. I signed up with Mary Chia before. at that time, I even have letter from doctor stating that I can't go for their slimming treatment, but even doctor letter also cannot support the claim. I even went to CASE and even to the court, didn't fight the case though cos I dun want to waste more $ knowing that it's a 50-50 situation). so, Mary Chia manager allowed me to return the $ via voucher. so, instead of cash, they gave voucher, and in the end, I managed to sell off those voucher at a VERY cheap price. though, not full refund, but at least part of it l.or. (about 30%).

Now, I shun away from those slimming centres, because in my opinion, they dun work.

Been with Body Wellness for few yrs. No bad experience so far. Find their service, thought not fantastic, is acceptable. For the price I pay, I have no complaints. So far, have not met any pushy consultants.

i think slimming centres are all useless... basically, i am not overweight or anything... just want to do some spot reduction... during a cenosis road show recently, i signed up for a slimming package... the consultants assured me that results will be fabulous for me since my weight is acceptable & do not look fat to begin with... all i need is to lose a bit of inches...

however, when i started the treatments, they told me a different version of story saying that the machine can only help to break down the fats not to slim down... i need to combine the treatment with hot/cold wrap to see significant results... & when i said it was different from what they promised during the road show, they simply said i remember wrongly... >.<...

Its usually like that....not only with slimming centre...but with banks as well. i had bad experience with OCBC..& its costing me alot for my investment. Opps wrong topic...but *** i'm trying to say is normally sales people will use this as a technique.

Had a very bad experience with Citispa. Their sales tactics are so pushy that the consultant threatened not to let us leave until we buy the products.

Only got 10% back in cash after a lot of hassle. We were too tired to go back and forth so we settled.

i also went for marie france before.. also encountered most of the same problem..as the ****.. like nv say clearly of the treatment..and keep ask to top up for something else.. and the worst thing is when u wanna book treatment for next session..it will be like weeks or months back.. of coz like that how to see results..

anyway i stop when i utilised my intial package and moreover never see any effect at all..

anyway after such bad experience, i decided to take diet drink/meal as replacement and exercise alot ..and drop from L - XS....in a year..

so ladies..there is not short cut to lose weight.. not even by spending $.. for slimming salon..coz they will suck u dry n dry..etc

unless u willing to fork out $ and endure the pain...go for surgery..that is the 100% guarantee u will c effect.. esp if u do lipo..u c ur tummy MIA /flatten immediately..

i recommend the cheapest and foc is to jog..exercise...

omg!!! w.ah, really applaud you for the perseverance and determination. Did you ever feel like giving up during the period? It's bad enough to go exercising regularly (to me l.ah) moreover, have to take replacement meals. If it is me, i would have given up within 2 weeks and start to binge on chips.
