doc ask me to take it 2 days before the actual day and if spotting occurs just increase the dosage. it works for meOriginally posted by "farahdean"
to delay yr period, my doc normally would advise me to take a week before the actual day so it actually works to stop on time. think with spotting, not much luck on the delay pill. i've always taken it in advance of a week!Originally Posted by keiko

Hi! I am back! After a long break away... you glas are just such bad influence! I went down to try the By terry skin enhancer and loved it!
About spas, I used to be a regular at Renewal at Tong until I hardly have time cos I changed jobs and can't find time to rush down in time for treatments in weekdays.
They have very good facials. John is just excellent! So is Christina. And they are very friendly and nice there. The place is a tad old, compared to St Gregory's at Novena, but the service and treatment is better, I feel.
They used to have a very good massage therapist there, called Richard, but he went back to aussie I think. The last I tried this Chinese doctor. He is very good too! Really takes care of you and knows where to work on. And they are not too expensive, compared to St. Gregory and Amrita. Yet to try Amrita.. Not too keen cos heard alot of negative stuff about it.
Maybe also cos I am such a direction idiot, I feel better in smaller spas.
But shall try Spa Botanica over the CNY hoidays!
I am looking for a good place for spa and massage for my SO. Have been to both Amrita and spa botanica website. very nice places! anyone got more reviews? spa which includes mud, and massage, exfoliation etc for the body.
think some of u girls like to pamper urself! reviews pls thanks!n i hope the most per person is $150 n not more than that.
Hi, anyone wanna share some going to Spa experience? Which Spa to recommend?

Hi ladies, my brother have an offer for me to go to a SPA as it is his friend's mum who set up the SPA. But I have never been to one b4 so I would like to know the normal procedures and what kind of stuff should i bring to there? And inside the SPA what do I have to do? I mean do i have to strip naked or what? I'm puzzled. Thanks in advance.

Tempted by the armitra spa and popped by today to check it out. It's beautiful!!! can we use the plunge pools and the jacuzzi if we are going for massages or facials but not members?
the price list doesnt state about VIP rooms or Couple rooms... i wonder if those are extra.
is anyone here a member? do you think its worth the $$$$?

Yes... spa facilities are for you to use even if u are not a hotel guest or member... as long as u are checking into one of thier spa services.... or even just the gym.Originally posted by snowstar

Check out this post-spa relaxation room... my fave... a dim, but lovely scented room with daybeds for you to rest and unwind, and simply enjoy the post-spa feeling... while having a cuppa of herbal tea to detox... ahhhh....
okie gals! going to try the Armita spa... so excited. they require a min of $400 worth of services before being able to obtain a couple's room.
my bf would like to try the hot stone massage.. other than that.. no preference. any recs??
thanks!
Anti-stress back massage is good... and try the scrub too.Originally posted by snowstar

Is Spa the same with massages? Coz I have received a $100 voucher from All About Massage opened my Leslie Kwok. Other than dreaming of getting a massage from Leslie Kwok himself, I know nuts abt the place. Does the place have separate facilities for ladies and men? I don't mind sharing tiny space with Leslie Kwok, but other men  ....
Anyway, I went to Amrita Spa before. Took up their 1 for 1 offer. Can't remember which treatment I took. But I know I was scrubbed, massage, wrapped and lastly squeezed (facial). IMHO, I feel their service is ok in comparison to the ones I had in Banyan Tree. Esp the scrub, they really scrubbed you everywhere and down. In Amrita, the girl missed some spots and not use as much pressure when scrubbing.
Let's put it this way, after scrubbing and massaging in Banyan Tree, your skin is really really silky smooth. Your partner will never let you out of the bedroom. For Amrita Spa, liken to ordinary showering. No action in bedroom

Hi Sky!
i went for the treatment and loved it! the room was quiet and pretty, not as nice as Banyan Tree but a wonderful place to get away for a couple of hours.
Will try out a few more of their facials before deciding cos today the esthetician recommended no extractions as my skin is sensitive.
Since i dont need the pool and the gym.. i dont see myself using the facilities twice a week. If i really lke the treatment, I might try getting a package instead.
thank you for the recommendation!
Stressed, a friend of mine frequents All About Massage. It is not a spa..Its strictly a no frills massage place. She said it is good especially for those with aching backs and back injury. Its a place for sportsman as well who had injured themselves during sports. Not your usual spa for sure. Very basic and simple with no frills...I remember she said there are rooms or was it compartments? very small space because it is meant for massages only actually....No spa facilities....And Leslie himself does not massage for his customers, unfortunately..If not I would have been there long agoOriginally posted by stressed

any updates on the SPA experiences or recs?![]()
hi all, i'm rather clueless to spas here, but would like to go for body treatments on a regular basis. any recommendations on which places are good and value-for-money?
i've some brochures from haach and fil, how do these compare to the more authentic spas like amrita?
also, in the sunday times a couple of weeks ago, they reviewed the neighbourhood beauty saloons offering spa services. has anyone tried and/ or any comments?
sorry i'm asking a lot of questions, but i'm really at a lost!![]()
