    Default Upper Lips' Hair Removal

Hey girls, do you guys have upper lips hair? I do....and i feel so disgusted cos it's like "how can i have moustache??!"

Anyway..i would like to ask how do you girls remove your upper lips hair...i am tempted to use my tweezer, but i'm afraid there would be stubbles and it would the hair would be thicker, and regrowth would be fast right?

Did think of threading..but when hair starts to grow out, aren't the stubbles ugly? and is the regrowth fast? If you girls recommend threading, can recommend me some good places for it?

The best would be "permanent removal of the upper lips hair"..is there such a process? If yes, how much does it cost and where can i do it? Will there be any side effects?

Sorry for so many questions..thanks in advance, girls!

yes i do. they're rather fine hairs but still can see 'cos black ah. Anyway, I actually use my regular shaver (yes the one for legs and underarms). When I'm really free I'll shave it off.

Also thought of IPL for it. But i'm afriad of any side effects. I believe Spa Espirit's STRIP does have this. Hairaway too. Or how about waxing? should be quick and good. I find plucking an absolute torture.

i've tried waxing (DIY), threading, hair removal cream and plucking them off myself

    1. waxing: very bad experience, not only did i NOT get the hairs off it left my upper lip area very red, bad bad

    2. threading: ouch factor is high, i was tearing away but it removed ALL my hair. regrowth was ok, not coarse at all

    3. hair removal cream: most painless method, but find one that is specially made for upper lip area in case of sensitivity

    4. plucking: ouch factor high also, stopped after a while cos cannot stand it

DIY waxing- took my skin off. Try explaining a missing chunk of skin to people

Professional waxing- red and sometimes gave me clogged pores (little pimples). But so fast and relatively painless.

Threading- least harsh on my skin, got hair off effectively. But ouch.

Plucking- err... this is really if I have alot of time or forgot to remove before some important event!

Regrowth-wise, I don't get stubble, just fine hair that's noticeable enough for me to want to remove on a regular basis Never tried shaving or depilation creams or bleaching creams.

    I have tried :
    1. Waxing at my facialist : Not bad, it was my first time I did it and it was alright. It was a quick one and she did it before my cooling mask so the redness subsided. After a few days, one pimple popped up but that's about it regrowth was slow and a little only appeared after nearly 2 weeks. I prefer this one of all.

Plucking : Super OUCH!!! very painful and you need to me meticulous which I am too lazy to. My facialist said that it's not good to pluck them on your own as the hair would grow back rougher and more obvious?

Threading : Haven't tried that out.

Shaving: Did it once and it was BAD. The new growth made it more obvious. Not a good choice in my opinion.

    HTHs!

Threading. Painful, yes, but surely kindest to your tender skin. Quite convenient to have it done with your brows.

hey girls, thanks for all the "feedbacks".....i think other than the permanent removal, seems like the next best thing would be threading?

Can you girls recommend me good places for threading and how much does it cost?
How often do you have to return for threading? So the regrowth will be fine hair and no stubbles right?

i've tried 1.waxing, hurt quite alot especially when the facialist sprayed the toner on my upper lips OUCHH and my upper lips was quite red after that.
    2. Bleaching, bought the bleaching agent from pharmacy, was quite convinient and fast. It lightens the hair so that it is not obvious. Did not hurt abit hehe and the result was quite lasting .
    3. Now i just shave it using my eyebrow shaver.

I get my upper lip wax done at Hollywood Secrets. I'm usually in and out in 10 minutes. Just a slight redness with goes away after a while.

I read the threading thread and am getting interested. Might go give it a try if I actually manage to find my way there.

I would definately go for threading... It is done so quickly like less than a minute. No need to put stuff on your skin like waxing etc. Only thing is a slight burning sensation after the process is over - but goes off quickly. The lady will pass you some rose water to cool your skin.

I get mine done at Little India (both eye brown and upper lip for eight dollars)... The regrowth is quite slow like over a month or two....

    Will definately go back there.
