This is interesting ... until I read all your posts, I didn't know that aspirin mask was meant to be used alone I remember when I first read of this mask in MUA, I mixed the aspirins with some drops of water but just couldn't find a way to make it adhere to my facial skin. So I thought, "Maybe the instructions wasn't clear?". I tried adding an equal amount of Dermalogica's Dermal Clay and viola! Problem solved! Thus I always thought that we were supposed to mix the aspirins to our regular masks.

haha i've just tried this aspirin mask ten minutes ago...skin felt really smooth after that...but the stinging sensation was horrible after i washed off the "mask"...when leaving it on...i do not feel anything at all! Do you girls experienced this too?

hmm... i shall give it more tries.... maybe 2 weeks once....

May i ask....will it sensitised your skin??? As in will your skin turns out more sensitive if use this mask often?

I also felt that the pores are smaller...but maybe due to lighting in my house because this is night time! haha....

Yup, cUppucino, the aspirin mask stung my face too, and like yourself, I felt fine when the mask was on my face. The discomfort surfaced only while/after I've washed off the mask. But in my case, the stinging sensation was temporary and would subside after a day. And yes, I noticed my pores getting smaller too, but sadly, this phenomenon too, is only temporary.

    HTHs.

read up from the forum about this aspirin mask and from the MUA as well so i decided to give it a try .. i got some dispirin brand ones so i use two tablets and mix it with my dermalogica dermal clay .. ( read it from one reply and since i have the derma clay so decided to use it)... so i left the mixture on my face for bout 5 min as i have sensitive skin and its my first time trying! so while leaving it on i felt like a tingling and somewhat biting sensation... anyone also experience this???
then i washed off ...my face was slightly red but still ok.. thereafter i applied some BP to it and wow my face became red very obvious red after a few hours later.. so regret should have applied mositurer instead... the next day the reddness was slightly subsided thank god by the way i too have some sensitive skin
so i read up *** *** some they mix it with plain yorgut and i am going to try out today .. i am keeping my fingers cross!
will keep u guys update again

I've mixed it with honey and used 3 tablets of Disprin. I don't have the stinging effect that most of you are saying. Hmm... perhaps is the honey? Very smooth and clean i feel my face is now. I did the asiprin mask last sunday and till now, it's still having this smooth effect.

I still prefer Disprin. Just tried the bayer's its very grainy bigger grains than Disprin's.

Tried 8 tablets & it could not relaly stick to the skin so I scrubbed it into my skin instead & well too anxious - 2 abrasion spots one under the shin and another right of the nose. NO wonder some like to mix it with honey, yougurt & stuff - as bayer cannot adhere to the skin at all with just water.

trying to recover with SkII's Sign's pot of cream now.

Disprin dilutes lotions which i mix with so i believe Bayer's better for mixing & disprin is more suitable to be used alone in a way - but still no harm mixing Disprin as the mixture will dry up soon enough.

I've been using Dispirin for masking but somehow I haven't seen it at Guardian or Watons lately.

Other than Dispirin, what other brand is good? I saw Bayers but it's not water solvent, which is a hassle cos I'll have to crush them.

In the end I bought Aspro Clear, which is 500mg dissolvable aspirin, but I think it's not suitable for masking at all. It didn't dissolve well, was very grainy and hard, and had a lemony scent. And the strange thing was that it felt icy cold in water, but when I applied it on my skin, it grew warm and quite smarting. Eeek... washed it off immediately. So do skip this brand if you want to get aspirin for masking.

Anyone can give me an idea where to locate dispirin in Singapore. I could not locate it anywhere in Guardian or Watsons.

hi gals, when you all mix honey or yoghurt or your own mask with aspirin, do you all actually dissolve the tablets in water first???

I prefer Disiprin as well as it's gentler. Plus it stays on the face better and my blackheads come out easier. I grabbed them all whenever I see them at the pharmacy because they're soooooo difficult to find!
