You cannot ship directly to Singapore from drugstore.com. Well, you can, but most ppl who buy from drugstore, will ship to their vPost address and from them vPost will ship to you in Singapore. It costs $20 and above, depending on how many items u can. So you will need a vPost account as well.
The thing about avoiding GST is that, if the total costs of your items (including shipping and insurace) is more than S$400, you will incur GST. That means, Singapore Customs will charge you 7% of your total cost. Hence to avoid this, most ppl make sure their packages are less than S$400.
I think those who purchase from US websites will have to be mindful that they may not be able to use the warranty. Or even if you can use it, you would have to ship it back to the US site (at your own expense). Please read the terms and conditions of the US website regarding this or clarify with them by email before purchasing.
For those who are concerned about the warranty, you might consider to save the hassle of ordering from overseas and just get it from the local Sephora. Although it's more $$$ but you can have peace of mind regarding the warranty and returns if the product turns out to be faulty. Just my![]()
Well this is the reply I get from Clarisonic on fb:
"Hi, I'm living in Singapore and would like to order Clarisonic from skinstore.com, will the warranty be valid in Singapore?"
And the ans:
"Clarisonic is available in Singapore as a Sephora exclusive. They do not offer an online option but we are available in retail stores around the country. Sephora is a Clarisonic retailer and all purchases are covered by warranty. Hope that helps."
Frankly, the answer isn't helpful
well, its a hefty difference of $100 ++? And they did encourage ppl to buy online back then...
Qn:how do i get clarisonic in singapore?
Ans: We are currently not set up to ship internationally, but we've had some customers use this website to place international orders: http://www.ishop-america.com/order.php. They specialize in shipping US products overseas.

And at later of the page:
"Clarisonic There is no way of replacing the battery within the Clarisonic, however we have seen Clarisonics last for upwards of 5 years with a battery that still works well. Additionally, the Classic and PLUS models both come with 2 year warranties, so if anything happens with the battery within that time you're completely covered."

So I presume the warranty is of no issue?

Have you tried emailing to skinstore to ask them what would the procedure be if your Clarisonic had a malfunction during the warranty period? If it just entails shipping the unit back to them for a replacement or refund then I think it would be quite reasonable to risk making the purchase seeing as the price difference is $100.
If you can wait longer perhaps some other etailers might have better deals towards X'mas time. One of my favourite etailers www.skincarerx.com sold gift cards at 40% discount last year (meaning you pay 40% of the price for the virtual cards which you can use like cash at their store. It was one of the best deals I have had on the internet from a reputable etailer selling branded skincare. I wouldn't know what would be their deal this year. You would have to sign up for their newsletter to be alerted. The really good deals like the 40% discounted gift cards are only available for a few days once announced. So you have to be quick. If you go on holidays during that period, too bad you missed the bargain. skincarerx have really good customer service from my experience. I am not sure about skinstore but if they want to compete, they should also have high standards. After all they risk their reputation online if they don't give good service.
Dear All, how much cheaper would it be to buy from USA physically? Does USA Sephora carry this?
Singapore Sephora shops don't carry the Mia? Oh no! I was looking forward to that. Hopefully (after I save up) they'll carry it... Or if my mom ends up going to USA I might ask her to get it for me.
But ordering from US means the plug is not for local plugs right?

If your purchases cost S$400 or above then will be charged 7% gst. If just buy 1 clarisonic surely no gst.
It's very much cheaper to buy from skinstore as they offer cheap international shipping at usd14.95.
I bought from dermashoppe.com as they 're one of the few places which has the purple colour Mia (but now skinstore has it too) and shipped to comgateway and it costs USD21+ to ship to sg!! urgh should have ordered from skinstore.com
skinstore also have a lot of other brands like philosophy (also got 20% off) and ship together with clarisonic still usd14.95, make me regret even more for not buying from them.. sigh
Anyway singapore sephora only has 1 type of clarisonic (iirc it's selling at S$375.)

I emailed Clarisonic to enquire about the warranty and they said they since they do not ship to Singapore, in the case of the malfunction of the Clarisonic, we would not be able to get any replacement whatsoever...
But I'm wondering if the warranty is really necessary? Am still considering whether to buy from Skinstore.com... 'Cause we can save quite a lot buying online as compared to from Sephora.. sigh
