Bumping this thread up. Is this mask a yay or nay for you?
For me, it really burns initially, but after a while, it'll be ok.
It does calm my zits down somewhat, and helps zits to go down, but otherwise, nothing spectacular. I really expected more after reading all the rave reviews on MUA.
I'm finishing a tube soon, and thinking of repurchasing as a clay mask, since I haven't seen anything that catches my fancy.
hehe for me it made me get more zits!
was quite disappointed by it even tho after rinsing off, my skin felt really nice and smooth
if you gals are interested, i saw that there are at least 3 auctions on Yahoo selling the mask.
I tried a little on my break-out areas yesterday, very stingy and the pimple 'popped' out more!Originally Posted by popmycherry
My mum tried doing the masque on her whole face, and she say her small pimple dried out and her big on I saw was smaller, less red! I think it really works to reduce zits but that's about it. My mum says its drying too, so for oily skin.
My skin is sensitive so I dare not use it.
Thinking of trying the mud mask but I read reviews on MUA its not for sensitive skin either.![]()
I use the mint julep mask and I love it for its oil-sucking efficacy (I got an extremely oily t-zone). I think it's pretty harsh even on normal-combi and try skin so I recommend people with those skin types to not try this mask. This is extremely cheap and comes in a big tube so it'll take a long time to finish. It also lessen the amount of blackheads I have by a little. If I remember correctly, I got it fro around US$3 from drugstore.com when I was in the states. Hope this helps!![]()
wow, thanks for the info.. saw this auction on yahoo! selling the egg mask, the price was reasonable for a mask (new to this) so almost wanted to get it.. luckily saw this thread before i did cause i have sensitive skin.. too harsh no good.. thanks again!![]()
i just got my mask from a seller. used it once and found it very similar to St Ive's firming mask except it lacks that stinging feeling. I liked the texture and minty feel when applied. When it started to dry, felt like it was drawing the life outta my skin. However, overall, i think it is rather calming. given that it is so simialr to the other mask i have, i will not repurchase.
Anyone tried the Grape Seed Extract Mask from Queen Helene?
I'm trying it on now. Like the minty smell and yes very stinging. Now the feeling is good (after 10 mins)![]()
Purplelicious, the grape seed mask is also minty ? Thought it was grapey..LOL
ohh hehe forgot to mention I tried on the original mint julep mask! I don't mind trying for the grape seed next time!
imo, lots of alcohol, smells like alcohol.Originally Posted by Kelly

Thanks wanwan for the info, my skin is actually oily, maybe i'll try that once I finish the mint one.
Christ on a pogo stick, this mask is amazing! I've got really oily skin especially around the T-zone. After using this for a week, my pores have drastically reduced and my skin is not as oily as before. I can see how this product is a definite no go for sensitive skin though.
Read in an old Allure mag that a dermatologist highly recommended this mask for zapping pimples when she was preggie. Got a tube fr a fren and it really works on those nasty pimples. Some did say it smell like colgate on their face!
