Pdt: teatree &ylangylang paper mask
price: $2.60
suitable for blemish skin
Review: tried 2pcs this wk, no bumps so far for me. essence quite little i feel compared to silk whitia or watson masks but sufficient for me though. after masking, abit sticky bt still bearable. face feel supple for lk 2days, calms my pimples abit. not too bad i feel! cos i seldom see masks for blemish skin![]()
i tried the daisy mask. i think its suppose to whiten skin but i find it disappointing becos the essence is wayyy too little compared to silk whitia. gonna stick back to silk whitia.imo
very facinating stuff they have there![]()
very reasonably priced imo
i m trying out their sensitive skin series now.. so far so good.. the ingredients seems light on my skin.. bought their sunblock as well.. it feels light as well.. bought their.. compact powder? nice..
*** went to see the masks *** they have.. but the one the sales gal recommended is out of stock.. will be dropping by next week again..
Price is cheaper than other korean shops as well. Usually sensitive skin range is more exp than normal skin range.. i bought mine at ard.. $19 each..
I bought their masks when I was in Korea, the quality of their masks are quite good. I have tried their tropical fruits yogurt masks in durian, rambutan, mango and mangosteen too
i want to tak back my gd reviews for their teatree ylangylang mask. 2pimple stil popped out the day after i mask. was nt sure if its caused by the mask, bt the fact tt it *** prevent or suppress the zits disappoint me![]()
I bought this cleanser "Nature Republic - Soap Wort Water Selection" when I was in Korea and i really love it! I thought it would be too heavy since its cream and I have combi/acne-prone skin, but it's really light and doesn't clog your pores. Most importantly, it takes of all your make up in one go!
Even though I use eyeshadow primers and face primers to make my foundation stay longer, just rubbing the cream gently onto my face and I can wipe off everything in one go. My face also doesn't feel greasy after that. Bought it for only SGD$4 for a huge tub, am definitely going back for more!
Can anyone comment on their masks like the charcoal masks etc? Interested in trying that out too. ^^
Is this the shop that has the powder mix with solution mask @313? anyone tried?
Besides Junction 8, are there other branches in singapore? J8's abit too inaccessible for me![]()
Anyone tried their sleeping mask and sunscreen?
Have already done 3 hauls from Nature Republic. Their things truly cheap and good. Very cheap. TFS, Skinfood (is so expensive) and TBS (mid-range) never got me hooked.
Recommendations after using my hauls, and chatting with SAs: (in absolutely no order of which is better),
- Hand Cream Aloe (this is the real good one. the other 3 are also good try lavender if you desperately want to buy a hand cream. Comparable to La source, L'occitane etc. The 4 types really can feel the difference in quality even when testing in store. No surprise, Aloe one is currently OOS indefinitely. I have gone down twice to ask, and SA couldn't give me a date when it stock will arrive.)
- Eyeshadow. They are very like Inuovi's Metallogy ones. Super smooth and colours turn out. I fell for this. Wasn't part of my plan to buy e/s. Too itchy hands go and test. try the darker shades like the royal blue, and purple purple. I bought teal as well.
Try the prism highlighter (brow and inner corners) colours as well. There was one really verstaile for highlight. Sooo pretty. But didn't get that, cos I broke the bank already.
- the nail polish is not a recommendation, it's a MUST. hehehehe. Normal one is $1.90 only. And the shimmer one is ~$5. Very good brush and the colour comes out same as bottle together with the shimmer in one coat.
- Makeup Remover water for hydration. Comes in cute and convenient press down like a drinking fountain pump. (CO comes in different skin types, but CW doesn't, as it belongs to hydration range.)
- Eau de Shine Loose Powder. Comes in 4 colour quadrants to balance all skin tones, something like Benefit Sugarbomb concept. Super soft puff. Sweet and lovely container, though a bit big. (I am currently using this everyday. )
- Purple BB Cream. Purple is to balance majority of skin tones. I am really really in love with this. But didn't get, cos I am not a BB cream person... =(((( I feel so sad that I have no need for it.
- The masks are generally very good. The mask sheets especially are so fitting. Essence is always more than enough for face (I did try leaving on for 2 hours++). But it's not that kind that flows all the way into the packet, and give you a lot of excess to spread everywhere. I am really satisfied with those I've used. But the better ones are more than $5. (I used to get them as samples, cos the shop still not as popular.) Last week I went, didn't get sample already. =(( Most of those I tried are super firming kind. So don't expect them to moisturize as much as other brands. That's what I found out from my samples. I was quite disappointed at the moisturizing initially. But now, I accept already.
- can have fun trying the glosses. colour selection is few. But you will see the difference in types, e.g. matte, gloss, shimmer + gloss, shimmer only, gloss only.
- If you are looking for an almost exact replacement for Maybelline Gel Liner, get the one from Nature Republic. Can see it's the same shape. I personally not so fond of angled brush, or art brush thin tip kind. Had been looking high and low for Maybelline replacement and finally found it cheap. =)
- Falsies users might want to take a look the lashes from Nature republic as well. They have quite unique designs. I bought cos I don't see the type from Ardell or Sasa... ...
- Eyeliners around $10. There is one that the SA says wouldn't smudge. She did tell me the rest will smudge. hahaha.
Go for the liquid glitter ones if you're into colour. Soooo nice! iirc, one of the colours was OOS a week ago. =( Thank goodness I asked for green one, still got stock.
-if you're into things like cotton pad, Nature Republic is not bad. One cotton fully soaked with nail polish remover can get me through both hands and 5 toenails. It soaks and hold the water, but will dispense when squeezed. Very different from Watsons cotton pads. I am not so cotton pad person.. So I can't compare with TBS or MUJI etc.
- last but not least is my to-buy list:
> the makeup corrector pen. It's like an eraser to use when you accidentally draw wrongly. It literally works like an eraser. So it's more precise. Unlike m/u remover soaked cotton buds, will eat into the part that you don't want to remove. =(
> Cleansing oil. they look so nice I just feel like buying, haha, since I am a CO fan.
> Foot cream is also one of the signature items, like sleeping mask.
> More eyeshadows. hehehe.
> clogged pores/blackhead remover water (SA highly recommends this. But I don't have much prob with clogged pore and blackheads, so didn't buy that time. I'd love to just test it out though.)
Hmmm, what else... I have the sleeping mask and sunscreen spf50 in stock, plus all the types of lipglosses. mascara is not bad. Blush is good, just that all their blushers have shimmers.
The only thing I found no good is the Aeromix Concealer. =( Too dry too spread.
Just a gentle note: don't buy the skincare if you are not going to open it immediately to use. These are all natural products. And according to the SA, unopened only lasts at the most 2 years if you want to risk. If open, use within 6 months. (which is why you might realise that I had not bought much skincare in my hauls... hahaha). Get them fresh when you know your current bottle is running its last laps.
Store recommendation (not mine): SA will tell you about their latest product, 80% marine collagen series. Marine collagen is absorbed better than animal collagen (as in Collagen Thread). Nature Republic is the first Korean brand to use marine collagen. (Well, imo, first doesn't means best... so yeah. But they claim content of up to as high as 80%... So it's for u to judge.)
Pricing:
generally, prices for small size items are the a few dollars only kind. Most of the things are less than $20 (e.g. eyeliners around $12) I think the LP is close to $30, but super big tub, unlike SANA. Even skincare is cheap. Generally between $15-$25/bottle range (sunblock spf50 is $18 iirc). Unless you are going for anti-aging, collagen, whitening, please be prepared to be shocked. Some of them can be up to $80. But don't be afraid of the price issue, cos it's like TFS, all printed visibly. And all the SAs so far never push me to buy, not like TFS, some branches can be quite unfriendly, and TBS worst, now totally bo chup. (they used to be real real nice!)
Membership: first time I went was $50 within a mth qualify. Currently, it's $100 in a single receipt. (It's actually quite easy, cos they have many good things. It's like Daiso, cheap, you pick up a lot of items, and wow! hahaha). Just the shimmer nail colours alone, I so tempted to get all colours.
