Sorry dear for the really late response.

How long it last as in the threading session? Quite fast, about 10 mins? How long the hair grows out depends on the individual I guess although I've been told that threading slows the hair growth and the hair grows out more fine. I think my hair grows out about 2 months but it isn't that obvious until about 3 months later.

I usually ask Suelyn or Jeannie to do it for me.

Erm but after seeing the posts here, I think $10 might be a little expensive compared to the beauty salons in little india or elsewhere.

    thanks popsicle!

but can i ask whether sensitive (cheek easily blush) skin can take the threading process?
i'm afraid of breakout after that... which i really dread having at this age.

any advice or experience to share? :choice:
    TIA

    You're welcome

My upper lip was quite red the first time I did it and it can be a little itchy. The beautician did apply some cream to soothe my skin each time. Subsequent times the redness wasn't so obvious but I did experience very slight itch for a while.

I'm not sure whether my skin is sensitive or not but you might experience some redness/itch like I did which went away after a few hours. On rare occasions, I did see one or two slight bumps probably a reaction to the irritation which went away quite fast.

    Hope it helps!

went for my first threading session at reflexions today. did both my eyebrows and upper lip, total damage was only $10

quite satisfied with the results, but don't think i will go back cos the salon didn't look very clean

will try out the little india places next time

oh yeah, when she did the upper lip area, i was tearing like crazy!! it hurts like hell.... and i have a pretty high threshold for pain..

How about any threading services at west area?

I hate to just go all the way to town just for this service.

Shop name called : Sheilas beauty shop

look for Lakshmi . After my threading my frends praises my eye brow haha.

Just to add to Chantille's suggestion, I've just tried Sheilas beauty shop and I'm quite pleased. I usually go elsewhere to thread my upper lip but decided to give this a try as it's quite near my area. Lakshimi did a very clean job and it wasn't as painful as it usually is for my upper lip and none of that redness or itchiness when it was done. It is also very reasonbly priced, now I feel the previous place I went to is exorbitant.

Yes I believe they take walk in customers, I myself just walked in. It's a small shop below one of the flats, behind Yishun MRT.

You can look out for Block 749 and walk straight and turn left (if you trust my directions haha) but yes it's not that difficult to find.
