Hi Gals!
I had just went for Spectra-Peel laser treatment 2 weeks ago. My skin tone is quite dull & uneven, with some open pores. The doctor recommended this treatment for skin rejuvenation and it should help to close up my pores. After the first treament, there was little redness on my skin and i did not see any improvement on my complexion. maybe it is only the first treatment. i do notice a small brown patch on the left temple of my face. not sure what it is? maybe it was a burnt? can anyone who have gone for this laser pls tell me if this is an effective solution for me?
cheers!![]()
Yes, spectra laser is good for enlarged pores, I finished a course of 5 sometime ago and I really like the result, going for maintenance every 3-4 mths. I saw improvement after the 3rd session, my skin looks better and makeup goes on easily. You can also do an occasional Pca peel in between. Homecare is important too, I used the clinic pore refining gel(recommended by my doctor) in the day and differin at night, works really well for me. Now my skin is quite radiant and smooth. How much did you pay for the spectra laser, out of curiousity?
i had done it at Kao & Tan Family Medical Central @ Jln Membina. each session is $250 + $20 (for the numbling cream) and he gave me a free diamond peel. i have to get the anti-biotic cream and Recovery cream from the clinic. and they cost me around $20+ each. the doctor recommended me to use an anti-oxidants called Vitamin infusion from THERAPEUTIC ($129 i think...). how much did you pay for each session? but i notice a small brownish patch on my left temple.... did you have any side effects?
Mine is a package of 5 sessions ($1500 nett) inclusive of numbing cream, anti-inflammatory cream. No need antibiotic cream. I only get some redness immediately after the laser but after the soothing gel mask, my face looks normal and I can apply makeup (normally do during my lunchtime) For maintenance it's only $200. No I never had any brownish patch or side effects. I am already using Vitamin C / rejuvenating serum previously so I add in their pore refining gel and differin for increased cell renewal at night
Hi Sandradee, care to share where you go to for SpectraPeel laser? Thanks!
For myself, after 2 or 3 treatments, I can see significant improvement, but I don't have perfect skin yet.
Thanks! For myself, after the 8th treatment, the results are quite standard already. I don't see the dramatic improvements as I did in the initial sessions. I have to supplement with chemical peels for better results. But I must say Spectra really helps my skin, better than IPL.
Is Spectra-Peel Laser best choice for open pores?? you know... like strawberry nose? I have little knowledge about these treatments. Can it be done for people prone to eczema but not having a flair-up now.
I think overall spectra help me but i really dont know whether it is the best or not. i tried 3 laser before. Sciton, medlite and spectra and so far i think the spectra does the most result for my pore. I can still see them ( annoying la!) but much smaller. It is also good for acne and my face is better.
Hope that you can learn something from us who try all this treatment!

Oh so spectra peel is better tha IPL ???
not sure about those IPL offered by beauty salons cause from what I know from the doctors from NeuGlow, their IPL machine is of medical grade so definately better results.....
Spectra peel quite expensive ...... Hmmmm ... maybe I can try after some serious $$savings meanwhile I just stick to my IPL @ NeuGlow.....
ok i made an appt for spectra at cosmo clinic..
i am really hoping my skin condition will improve.. and not worsen
