I have ezcema since 14 when I start to have these outbreak regularly mainly due to stress. I’m always easily irritated as the itch always affects my sleep. Being affected by my image ,I have never wore any skirt, dress or shorts ever since. Recently, it has start to affect my hands as well. These scars are getting darker and darker in color each time as hard skins are built up every time i scratch and it heal.

I’m always so depressed about it as my daily life has been affected and it’s always the reason why I opted out for physical activity and sports. My skin has been all yellow and unhealthy from the lack of vitamin D because I have always hide away from the sun to prevent myself from perspiration and more outbreaks.

After years of suffering and seeing countless doctors. These are some of the steps I take in curing my eczema.

    1) Eat right

Things to avoid includes: seafood especially crabs and prawns(it affects proper healing of wound), fried stuff, eggs or dairy products (depends on individual because for me its soy products),nuts and sweet stuff (depends on individual)

    2) Exercise to sweat out the body toxic accumulated in your body no matter how bad your outbreak is.

    3) Always keep your nails short. Even you DO scratch yourself, it will not cause as much damage to your wound.

    4) Use steroids creams with lots of moisturizers at all times. If you are in Singapore visit Niks Professional - NIKS PROFESSIONAL. Don’t be fooled by their poor product packaging. What’s important is that it really works.

I’ve tried so many doctors before and this is the only one with creams that suitable for me which my friend with eczema recommended me. Just within 3 months my skin has cleared up with only scars left. Prices is steep as their products are natural. Each visit cost about S$180-230 which includes consultation, a month of medicine and creams. They do not accept appointment so be prepare to go down earlier to queue for an hour or two especially weekends as there’s always a lot of people in line. Below is 2 the main product I use everyday.

    Bath Oil

This is a natural soap-free cleanser containing colloidal oatmeal, a most potent natural anti-itch agent, and liquid paraffin, a most effective moisturizer. It comes with essential oils like lavender and orange to enhance naturally anti-inflammatory and soothing actions. It is free of parabens and lanolin. Colloidal oatmeal helps restore normal pH without supporting bacterial growth. Excellent for soothing and softening dry and itchy skin, it is hypoallergenic and suitable for all skin types and the body.

    Anti-itch Oatmeal Moisturizing Cream

This enriched natural colloidal oatmeal body moisturizer is formulated with ingredients like oatmeal for anti-itch soothing, aloe vera for anti-inflammatory effect, glycerin and shea butter for enriched moisturizing, orange and lavender oils for natural relaxing aroma, vitamin E for anti-oxidant effect and natural vitamin A for renewing the skin. Colloidal oatmeal is a well-tested agent for soothing itchy and dry skin. The cream is very gentle and suitable for all skin conditions and ages, especially those with very sensitive skin like eczema, psoriasis, nappy rash and recovered itchy wound.

Another good face/ body moisturizer is Cerave Moisturizing lotion (check makeupalley.com for the review). It contains ceramide, Hyaluronic Acid, etc
Unfortunately, it's not available in Singapore.
You have to purchase it from overseas (Drugstore.com, ebay etc)

Yah can get that from neighbourhood clinic. I just got mine from a clinic at Hougang side. Love the texture, not sticky at all. Helps the eczema patch that I have on my knee but apparently the doctor says can apply to whole body for daily use

May be due to environment/ allergy? Guess it's normal for recurrence. So just use appropriate cleanser and moisturizer to prevent it from spreading further. Go see doc. Good luck
