Ezcema is always associated with itchy and inflammed skin so it sounds unlikely that you have ezcema.Originally Posted by Connexion
Anyway, if you're worried, you should go to the doctors to get a proper diagnosis ok?![]()
hi i have ezcema since young. spent a bomb trying to cure it but guess i can only control it. how serious is mine? well, if i use other shower cream eg lux shower cream, i'll break out big time. the back of my legs and joints of my hands will crack, itch, and alas...big red patch will appear. then i'll scratch it and scars will form....then i'll have to faithfully wait for it to fade away... not forgetting my neck. this is the worst part. on hot weather it'll become red and itch non stop. the only shower cream i can use now (commercial wise) is dove. i tried hydrocortisone but IMHO triderm works better. Triderm is stronger and once applied, red patches will subside. But its so diff to get it from doctor as its stronger. :roll:Originally Posted by Joce7878
i also have the same problem of eczema on fingers. rashes on my index finger and has spread to my middle finger as well. and its now all dried dark and ugly. everytime i visit the doctor, they will just give me cream to apply. but it soon comes back. i dont really dare to use handcream as sometimes they cause itchness as well! i now try to hide my fingers, sometimes im pretty hurt when my friend goes like: "hey, what happen to ur finger?" feel so low esteem.![]()
I have eczema too!! Not serious until bleed and peel but ugly dark patches all over my legs. Sigh![]()
I use dove shower foam only since its recommanded by doctors from the national skin centre and always remember to shower faster. Read somewhere that spending too much time in the shower is bad cause it itches. Everynight put some body shop brazil nut body butter helps prevent my breakouts.
As long as the weather doesn't turn too hot and humid I don't have much problem coping.![]()
i use dettol shower gel. but im thinking of trying the crabtree and evelynn goat milk's. the brazil nut body butter really helps prevent breakouts? hmm.
by the way, about the dark patches on ur legs, try applying rose hip oil on them. may lighten the scars.
Actually you shouldn't use dettol, its very drying and it actually make the problem worse. I did think of crabtree's goatmilk too but the SA says jojoba is the most moisturising but I hate the smell. Maybe going for the aloe vera one.
For the dark patches on my legs I am thinking of using Fade Out cause of the good reviews on removing scar marks on legs. Hope it doesnt make the problem worse![]()
Rose hip oil to lighten scars? I'm so excited now!!!but can i use this oil on my face for pimple scars too? Where can i get them? thanks!!

Hi I suffered from severe ecezma during my primary sch days. I would have scabs at my knees, feet and ankles. It was so extreme that I had to have my foot bandaged up. Also, I couldn't walk properly as I felt like I was walking on hot coal.
I was prescribed creams and yes even oral meds but strangely my condition wore off slowly during my secondary sch days. One side effect of ecezma is extremely dry skin so I began to use slabs of moisturiser and it aided in the healing of my skin.
Currently, I apply Extreme Hand Therapy hand cream on my hands and feet and Jergens Ultra Moisturising Lotion all over my body.
I have suffered from bad case of eczema on my legs since I was young. No amount of creams or lotions ever help much. When they do help, it is only for a short while. I have tried all kinds of lotions, creams or bath oil.
Desperately, I seek medicial treatment from dermalogists. I went to the National Skin Centre many years ago and the doctor recommend me to put on alot of lotions, use bathoil etc and told me eczema cannot be cure! He also explained to me that ezcema is a form of allergic which occurs in the family. My sister has asthma, a form of allergic reaction while I have eczema.
Anyway, I left the clinic without much hope. Then my good friend who knows that I am plagued by this problem suggest I try out evening primrose oil.
From then onwards, I have been taking EPO for the pass 2yrs and my eczema has gone away. However recently I was irregular in taking the EPO, my ecezma came back a little.
For any girls who want to "cure" ezcema, try EPO, it is really effective. The only thing is you will have better appetite while taking EPO, take note and dun over eat.
I also have radiant skin on my body as a result of regularly taking the EPO.
The dosage that work for me is 3pills per day. Suppose to eat one after each meal, but I am too lazy and just take 3 at one go. I also did not get the expensive EPO, just get the normal range from john little. It is cheap and very effective. Takes about 1-2 weeks to see good result.
Hope the remedy help you!![]()
Can we take more than one pill per day? I always thought that one pill per day is the correct dosage. How can we find out how much we should take? I am taking one per day and it does help abit. I take vitamin C with it too and seems to be better![]()

Glad that the EPO worked for you, bashful. I tried it, but no effect. In fact, I've tried many supplements, but all doesnt seem to do any good (or even harm) to me.
You can actually take 1-3 caps per day. For eczema, it is recommended to take 3. The strength of my epo is 1000mg/cap.
Tin Tin - Oh dear, what kind of harm? I cannot take normal skin supplemements with seafood (e.g. shell fish extracts), will cause my skin to be itchy. Ya individual are different too.![]()
Bashful, no, I said it doesnt do any good or harm to me. Its just like taking something that doesnt do anything for me.
I cant take supplements with marine extracts too, like imeeden.
i've very serious eczema problems too, had bugged me for nearly 3yrs.. recently went to Maple Clinic at tamp to see Dr Ong and my prob is getting on better! no more pus oozing out of my wounds & the wounds has completly flattend! in the past, my wounds was "protuding" out and it's very very itchy, but now everything has been much more better. but what saddened me was the scars left behind, like big black patches..
