first consultation is about $70-$150.
but he is very detailed, patient and makes an effort to go through your medical history to find the cause of your skin problem.
for me, it's food allergy. he gave me a list of food to avoid.
definately better than the docs at NSC - who treated me like a guinea pig.![]()
My friend goes to him too and she also said he is good.
But her total bill ended up $500 ( with medicine to last 3 months).

$500? woohooo!

my friend goes to Specialist Skin Clinic as well, all i can say abt that place is that it's overpriced for the products and medicine they give out...i mean you can get it elsewhere at half or even lesser of the consultationOriginally posted by pinkify

like i got my Nimegen at 8-11 clinic(Yishun) for NO consultation fees at all and my friend got hers at SSC with like $50 consultation! :x
I kinda agree with Pauline in a way because my friend was given some cream + Roaccutane. I went to another dermatologist and was given some other cream + Roaccutane too.
And with Roaccutane, both our skin clear up within a month.
I guess the doc is good, but too expensive ***. :sotong:
Opps.. i just heard from my friend that pills for acne treatment can results in weight gain. Is that true anyone knows? IF so, what exactly is the pill that casue weight-gain ?
*worried*![]()
Roaccutane, nimegen and antibiotics won't gain weight gain. But if you are referring to some contraceptive pills which may be prescibed for some acne cases, yes they will.
Hey latte! Are u sure ? If so, then i'm not so worried![]()
I will ask the doc not to prescibe contraceptive pills.. but Roaccutane and anitbotics then!
THANK YOU !![]()
No prob, pon......u just clarify with your doctor, I could be wrong.
dr thiru is a very good doctor, very patient and considerate for his patients. but if you see skin specialist always very expensive one...
if want to take roaccutane must careful a bit coz it can cause babies to be malformed if you get pregnant within 6 months of stopping... !![]()
