I'm going to Cosmopolitian next Monday to do the Spectra with Dr Ho after hearing more on him...(looks not included *** hahaha)

But he hasn't seen my skin before so he has to check if i can do Spectra first...i was hesitant about the 1k for 5 sessions but seem like a good deal so decided to try.

My skin was fine until i started on some pills....then it went bonkers...so now it's better but marks...! (i itchy hand la).....hope Spectra can help.

I tried calling Dr John Chiam....he told me Spectra is "old" equip....I dunno la. Honestly, I want to consult with Dr John Chiam...but....it's really very out of the way for me. So I shall try Cosmo first (and oh..ehehe I get to do modified jessner/ skin rejuv express at $45 - without extraction and massage at this facial place I been to long time....hence dun think I will do peel at the doctors)

Not sure...i think the usual peel is about $120 - $180 for a full face peel....

Am not sure which is jessner though? Website only list PCA and TCA peel....

Hi all,

I finally decided to go down and do my spectra peel! It was a scary session, with the burning & popping sounds! I think I did my peel with Dr Ng, I am not sure, forgot his name already but he is abit plump, is he Dr Ng?

He also suggested that I do a chemical spot peel on my chin and the sides of my cheeks. The peel is $50 with the cream at $10. After the spectra peel, my holes at my cheeks seem to be filled but no peeling on my chin yet. Will update more again. He also apply the numbing cream for me because I am afraid of the pain.. Heee

Yeah, i think you should share your experience. As far as I know i tihnk spectra laser not good for scar removal. It is more for acne treatment. Anyway good luck. Dr Ho is quite nice. I am sure you will enjoy your visit.

oh *****? I was reading up and it says it helps to even out skin care, reduce narks (i think more like marks for me not scars....) and help in minor pigmentation cases and reduce pore size....that's what I'm really looking for and helping the pimple part is good because less breakouts means I am less likely to go squeeze them!

I've been to Cosmo for two treatments so far. Spectra, done by the delectable Dr Ho and Jessner by Dr Ng.

Dr Ho used numbing cream for the Spectra so there was no pain or discomfort, just a slight prickling sensation. Had abit of breakout after that, yet skin was also slightly drier. No improvement on open pores, but Maureen was saying most people don't see any till the third session or so.

As for the Jessner, OMG!! I felt horrible during the procedure, my whole face was burning up! I wanted to tell Dr Ng to stop and just dunk my face into ice water. Luckily the burning sensation went away after sometime. But now I look damn ugly, skin feels very dry and tight, with brown patches and flakes.

My results are good. My pores are still present but smaller ( Dr Ho says cannot completely remove them) but the best part is that my pimple improve alot. Maybe depends on the reason you do the laser. I did get some breakout but was much less than when i had it active pimples.

I also did jessner and yes my skin feel tight but i never do whole face at all. Dr Ho only do on the spot areas and after the dead skin come off, very nice!

I think maybe everyone is different and Dr Ho says that he has turned girls away from spectra because they are not very suitable for the laser. Dunno why!

Yes I think Dr Ng did your spectra because Dr Ho is not plump at all.

Caught him listening to Jay today while he was doing my botox. I think he is getting very busy becuase saw alot of girls in the queue to see him today. Last time I wait for 10mins...now have to wait for 30mins...hmmph! But one thing i notice is that all the girls all laughing or smiling with him but then he quite charming!

If you are worried why dont you give them a call. Can ask Dr Ng to see you and check up. Dr Ho didnt do the peel for you? I had some dead skin but when it peel off quite nice skin below.

KatLing, I went during the day so Dr Ho wasn't around. Dr Ng's fine too, just not as chatty as Dr Ho. Or half as cute.

My face doesn't feel so tight anymore, and some of the brown patches look like they're drying up. The sides of my mouth and chin is peeling like mad! Gosh, just how much dead cells do I have have me face?!

Think I'll call them tomorrow for some reassurance, Thanks for the advise!

May I know what is the first visit like??? and *** products will he offer me??? do i needa bring anything? *** is the consultation fee? ***** veri expensive? are the products exp? sorrie for so many qns...geehee!!!
