    1) where you go for facial?
Fresver at Toa Payoh Centre... they're opening a new branch at Tampines soon...

    2) what type of facial treatment did you opt for?
The beautician there recommended that i try the desensitizing facial as I've very sensitive skin.

    3) what's your review?
My skin did improve & after going there regularly, their beauticians remember me... Therefore they're able to give better & more accurate advice. Good service, gentle beauticians available but abit eXpEnSiVe. The beauticians are abit pushy but if you're determined they'll not be difficult to deal with... haha...

    4) how much is it per session / per package?
    Package = 6 Desitizing facial + 6 amphile + 9 eye treatment = $1200

    5) how often is your facial routine?
    Once/mth or sometimes Once/three wks

    1) where you go for facial?
Leonard Drake at Wisma, sometimes Century Sq

    2) what type of facial treatment did you opt for?
Its called Detexturizing Treatment. Comes with normal cleansing, extractions, mask. Meant for unclogging pores i think

    3) what's your review?
Expensive IMO. Service is so-so. Quite a bit of hardselling which i dislike and managed to get away with it. I didnt like the fact that a different facialist serves me each time. The facial is only so so, with products from dermalogical. The extractions are really nothing to shout about, in fact very average i would say. I'm a BIG FAN of extractions.

    4) how much is it per session / per package?
    Package = 6 Normal facial + 1 FOC = $960

    5) how often is your facial routine?
The last time i went was 3 months back. I was alternating between Fancl till my fav facialist left. Now i'm back to LD to finish up the other 2 more courses, after which i will stop for good. No facial routine for me, i go as and when i feel like pampering or relaxing

I have been there before and did their students facial at 50bucks but i find that their extractions and cleansing is not that fantastic my skin condition didnt improve and the clogged pores remains. However you could read www.singaproebrides.com to read about the reviews posted by their clients. Some good and bad reviews. I feel their service is not that good as well and the massage is not that relaxing. But it's to each individual's preference.

sorry genie it's www.singaporebrides.com typo error. Btw i frequent one at The Concourse at beach road, my skin improves significantly as her extractions are good and sometimes based on my skin condition, if it's cloggy she'll do a light peel for me and my skin is soo smooth after that. Also her massages are good. I always ask for the lady boss to do it for me. PM me if you want to know the details of the salon.

    pampering...clarins?

    hi ataraxia,
I think for pampering I'll recommend clarins. I haven't been there lately, so I can't really quote the pricings/treatments they have. but I recall they don't believe in extractions, they focus alot on massage and facial massage/movements to remove toxins....
plus everything smells fantastic really really nice for soothing down pampering. It's so comfy I was literally drifting off to sleep.
but if u're looking for effective cleansing, nope, not comparable to other facial outlets... this one's really for comfy and hydration. Very soothing and nice clean ambience.

    1) where you go for facial?
    MTM/Wheelock
    2) what type of facial treatment did you opt for?
    Crystal Oxy Derma
    3) what's your review?
It's actually a dermabrasion treatment coupled with oxygen. Went on it cos of enlarged pore concerns, after 6 treatments I do see a slight improvement and skin definitely feels smoother to touch than before but hardly worth the cost IMO. Skin tends to itch like mad afterwards, but no splotches... just look like slightly sunburnt?! Wouldn't recommend for people with sensitive skin like myself. They really should couple this treatment with a more cooling mask to round it off. Instead, you get a moist papery mask n oxygen mask... and the same @#%$ ambience CD playing every single visit! Lol~
    4) how much is it per session / per package?
$3600+ for 10 sessions with neck treatment.
    5) how often is your facial routine?
Supposed to be fortnightly, but I skip when I'm busy.

Wow thanks for your fast reply! So it's really not recommended? How about any of the salons in Roxy square 2. Somewhere not too expensive. Between S$40 - S$50. If its not too much to ask, somewhere with that price and a nice, clean and professional place.

I used to be a regular at Body Contours at Roxy Square 2, finished my package this year February. I have a fave facialist, Stella that I stick to for 2 years. As always, chain facial salons tend to be more hardsell. was a customer with Adonis when I was a teenager when my sis paid for me. Adonis is crappy. As to hardselling, u just have to learn to say, "Thanks but no". Body Contours did try to sell me stuff when I was a new customer but as time goes by, they know my 'pattern'. They can't just sell me anything. If u are thinking of trying Natura Bisse products, Body Contours are the only salons in Sg to sell them so u might want to consider them. I like their Roxy Sq branch because it's the newest and I can change the treatment I sign up for spa treatments when I feel like it.

Remember, be a firm and discerning customer who knows when to say no wherever u go.

raebelasian : Thanks for you feedback. But body contours sounds more like a place that emphasis more on the body. Does it? Are they expensive? Do their facials really work?

blinkiebug: I agree with you! Every first trial is good, but after it, . That's what I think of it. So I've yet to sign up for a package yet. Every place, I would try it for about 3-4 times before i decide. But every place is so diappointing.

Why can't I find one that is reliable?

I've been going to JS beauty for my facial now, they used Sothy products and so far it has been really good i feel. They have never ask me to buy anything and generous with samples.

I love the massages during the facials.. soothing for my strained shoulders mucles.

Beauty Express at Cineleisure. Signed a package with them years back after being "psycho" by their lady boss and her staff.
Normal facials with 2-3 biopeeling throw in.
Going there only once or few times per yr just for the sake of completing the package. Always drag my feet there. And by the rate I'm going there, I believe it could last me another decade...ay
