Hey Debby, I was one of those whom CLinique's 3 step didn't quite agree with.Originally posted by "debby"
Does anyone use the Shu cleansing oil? It sounds interesting! Please enlighten me![]()
In fact, when I was using their stuff, my skin was the worst it had ever been.
I use Shu Uemura cleansing oil fresher, which is meant for normal - oily skins. I second everything Keiko has said, this stuff is great because it takes EVERYTHING off and I don't have to fuss with separate cleansers, although if I'm wearing waterproof mascara, I usually go over my eyes with a separate eye makeup remover, just to be sure to remove all traces of makeup.
I consider myself to have sensitive skin (easily irritated) but so far so good, Shu has not broken me out. The only side-effect it has is to make my skin feel momentarily very warm / tingling after I was my face at times - probably a sign that my skin has been over-stimulated.
By the way, if you get the SHu cleansing oil, do buy the pink eponge (sponge) that the SAs will recommend to you as well. This is a wonder, it turns rock hard when it dries (therefore no chance of it getting slimy or breeding bacteria), and it really takes off the last traces of cleanser when you use it to cleanse your face.
i think those who broke out from the shu oil probably are those who use the regular yellow one for normal to dry skin; i used that and broke out but i love the fresher version for normal to oily skin, no problems with that
wow thanks keiko & pandora, now I feel like picking up a starter kit too.. hehe..
Debby - RUN, don't walk, if you wanna pick up the starter kit. It's fantastic value for money and a good way for you to sample some of Shu's bestselling skincare products.Originally posted by "debby"

On the other hand, the KP cleansing oil, similar to Shu's, is only $55 per bottle...
Farah, Shiseido UV whitening serum is good for dark circles? The price seems reasonable when compared to La Mer too. Great will use this after I try the Sjal cream frm Pan. Keep us posted on the borghese mask.Originally posted by "farahdean"

I have used three bottles of Shu cleansing oil (the fresher version) before switching to KP. Love Shu but for the price I can get two KP with almost equal performance and in fact for oily skin, KP is better.Originally posted by "debby"
wow.. err my cleaning regime is very simple. I don't wear m/u often so usually I just use Clinique 3step system, but not the toner everyday cos it's been said to be harsh. Not alot of people agree with the Clinique system though.. Recently I bought Jurlique products to try and the initial trial was gd, but I haven't used it enough to comment much on it yet. Once a week I do a scrub and a mask, but that's all. So far I don't have much problems with my skin, although I'm obsessed with slapping on lots of moisturizer.

Looks like a case of YMMV. I went through 2 bottles of that stuff (Shiseido UV whitening serum for eyes) and there was no difference.Originally posted by "meow123"

You know, I never did post to this thread. I just don't really have a set skincare regime. I just keep switching around.
MK actually has some good skincare products and then for some reason I decided not to use it anymore. I've got Lancome Gel Clarte and an Anna Sui cleanser that I use. I've recently bought several Avon Retroactive products and have been using them.
I really don't do anything but wash my face with one of the cleansers and apply moisturizer. I started out using Avon's Retroactive Eye Serum in the morning and at night and I actually saw my dark circles lighten up. Then I picked up their Eye Cream and began using it at night and the Eye Serum in the morning. On mornings when I don't get enough sleep and I have puffy eyes and darker circles, MAC's Fast Response Eye Cream is great.
Nothing very fancy, but I've been blessed with great skin all my life.![]()
just wondering. what skincare products do you'll use?
to start the ball rolling, i use fancl's fenatty range
yup. but they cover a wide range and the extras. i was looking through it and i notice that it doesn't have the basics. meaning, the toner, cleanser etc.
you want an exact list of what people are using? oh....Originally posted by gothic_barbie
