I agree that they are out there to cheat as i am also a victim
I signed up with tampines branch 2 years ago. 70 times for over 60 treatments. Not long after i sign, they close down for renovation - best thing is they did not even bother to inform their customers! They then reopened in a small place below a HDB place, and will say that they do not have bathrooms, equipment etc and will tell me that i need to go other branch whenever i book a service that needed the facilities.
What was most annoying was they are always "fully booked". when i called one mth in advance, they will just say they have not "opened their calendar for booking" When i yelled at them over the phone and complained that i am tired of all their crappy reasons and demanded that since they can't give me a slot. then i might as well withdraw from the package for a refund, they asked me to call a customer service hotline that takes forever for someone to pick up the phone.
When i asked for the free treatment that was included in my package, they will tell me that their machine was spoilt. they give me the same reason when i asked for machine facial.
i had tried to bear with them and their rubbish for the past two years and thought that i will just finish the package and never sign up with them again. They showed me black face whenever i get very sarcastic ( saying that i should not sign up anymore since they " have so many customers and are always fully booked and also their machine always break down) and turned them down right at their face when they to make me sign up for more packages. Recently, they told me that my package has expired and told me that i needed to complete my 23 treatments in 6 mths time. I think this is the last straw. I am simply pissed off as no one has ever told me that my package has an expiry date. Who in the right frame of mind would sign up for a package of 70 courses to complete in 2 years?!?!?!? When i tried to reason it out with their staff, they just told me that I should have known about it when i signed up two years ago.
They are nothing but cheats. I have decided to bring this up to CASE. Can anyone give advice on how to approach and if CASE help. Also, i felt that the case can be stronger if we go as a group. If you are also a victim and would like to join me in bringing up to CASE, please send me a reply. Thanks
I had booked online for body massage, body lymphatic massage and facial at GIMAN AMK branch. I was there 10 min early, so the staff told me to go toilet then told me to go up to the massage room to get ready. 10 min later, with me already changed and lying naked on the massage bed, the manager came in with the masseur saying that they can't provide any services for me as my packages had all expired in Aug. She said that the masseur would not be paid for massaging me. This "manager" said that I need to go down to the customer service to see if they allow me to extend the expiry date, before I can go back to get any service from them.
I then told this manager that I was at their branch in Oct and no one mentioned anything about my packages being expired. She then said that they were upgrading the system and did not know about it. Then I asked why on one would contact me to let me know AFTER the system had upgraded. She said that the account would be locked and they cannot access it.
If I had not asked for a number to call this "manager" would have asked me to leave!! And I had taken leave to go there!!
When I called the customer service I had to argue with the customer service officer Yiping for 20 min before she finally agreed to let me have the services I booked. I still have over $4k worth of packages with them! So now I am being forced to either sign another $300+ package with them or upgrade all my treatments to the expensive ones!
This is not the worse part! When I wrote in an online feedback through their website they only got back to me 3 days later. This person called "Yiping" did not apologise at all. She did not even bother to find out the name of that so-called manager I was complaining about! Yiping said that they will let the management talk to that manager, who she has no idea!! I really wonder how they are going to do anything about the staff's attitude when they have no idea who was the staff at fault!?
Apparently, there is only 1 person working at the "customer service department", and she has no superior and only answers directly to the company's director! And the higher management at GIMAN do not speak directly to the customers. All issues are handled between the shop floor staff and the customer service department! Yiping is supposed to "just compile and sends reports to the director once a month"! There is no way to make sure your complaints are heard by the higher management!
Or maybe they simply do not care!
I guess now we finally understand why complaints and feedbacks about their staff and services are totally useless!!
If anyone wants to file any official complaints against GIMAN at CASE or something, please count me in!
