Hi gals, any powerful potent acne cream to recommend? I have a few huge zits popping up all of a sudden and I want the quickest and most powerful cream to destroy all these irritating zits :o I have tried PC, Clarins, Biotherm but none works fast enough. Have also tried applying Origins' out of trouble overnight but the irritating zits refuse to bulge. Have drank tons of tonics (stomach bloating now), lots of water, refrain from make-up etc....arggghhh....
Anyone has any success or secret recipe to share with me in my ever losing battle with these irritating aliens??
How about OXY 10? It works for my husband & me.![]()
I'm still on my trusty bottle of Dalacin T that Joce recommended and got for me. This stuff usually gets rid of my zits within 2 - 3 days. In between, I also apply Origins OOT mask to draw out the impurities.
As a preventive measure, I found that since I started using Komenuka Bijin cleansing grains every alternate day, my skin texture has improved a lot, and I've been getting fewer zits (usually it's PMS related) and oil clogs. Maybe check this stuff out? It's 100% au naturel too! :D
dermalogica medicated clearing gel works like a dream - not sure how much but i got a sample pack from leonard drake and a little goes a long long way!
I got a sample of the gentle soothing booster. Will try it tomorrow. No idea initially how to use this stuff..Am interested in the skin renewal but not sure whether it will be too strong cause breakouts...No problem for u?? Ok, already preparing my third order for Dermalogica!![]()
Dalacin T works best for me too. It gets rid of those big pimples fast. If u dab it before it erupts, it can reduce the inflammation over nite and it becomes a small zit instead.

as above
i am really curious how some girls rarely have pimples..
*** day at chalet, i lost cards and as a panelty, had to finish 7 packets of Apollo Choco Wafer... arrgghh, as expected, pimples immediately popped out like mad all over my t-zone. But my friend, who also ate abt 5 packets of *** wafer, *** even suffer from one pimple!
Life is Not Fair :x
maybe some girls here also have secrets to share with me : how you manage to keep pimples away.. even if u have consumed 7 packets of Apollo Choco Wafer?!?!![]()
Iguess you are just one of those who is allergic to chocolates. I get pimples if I take chocolates with Peanuts, chocolates alone is fine. But I keep them at bay by making sure I make ***** vit C and other supplements to maintain and clear my body system. Drink ***** water and clean my skin properly.
I guess different individuals breakout for different reason. Some are due to food allergies, some due to environment, some due to daily bad habits, some due to hornonal changes, some due to sensitivity to products.
I tend to break out if I have lack of sleep, or if the enivironment is very polluted, or if I used a product containing frangrance, since my skin is rather sensitive.
And I notice that the more I sleep the better my skin looks.... in fact it glows when I sleep more than 10 hrs a day, ha! Anyone check out if pigs have baby smooth skins?![]()
would like to r/o u this pimple cream. Brand is EXFOLIAC. Can be found in Robinsons shelves. think it cost abt S$29.00. try cream#15 for fast and effective relief of big horrible painful ZITS
Yah but pigs are FAT too....I notice that my skin is better when I am fatter though...I used to weigh 60kg...but back then I have problem free complexio....![]()
Lyn, if yours is an occasional break out then it cld be due to hormone changes, stress or food...Mine is always hormone changes and stress. I never have enough sleep and it is worse when it is near the date of my period...I have no problem with chocolates..Love chocolates and can't imagine my life without chocolates... :o

Yup, life's not fair. It's largely genetic. I was very lucky to have good skin throughout my teenage years when all my other friends were breaking out like crazy. My turn came in uni (I suspect because I didn't know how to take care of my skin in a temperate climate and also because of over-harsh products that I started using). Thankfully it's stabilized somewhat now.
I get the odd zit or two because of hormonal changes, but that's been fixed recently when I started using Ayura's zoning treatment for sensitive skin. My face used to look like @#$!! just before that time of the month - I'd get a huge zit or two, and there'd be oily patches AND dry flaky patches. What a nightmare! But in the past 2 months when I used the Ayura product, I got no zits and my skin was just glowing and supple. Great stuff.
Ultimately every individual will have to address her own skin condition. Like what the other members have said, we lal get zits for different reasons. Try and identify your own "triggers" (usual suspects: late nights, stress, hormones, improper cleansing, using the wrong products) and stay clear of them.
I think it also helps to have regular facials. These can come in the form of weekly DIY masks that you just slap on at home (look for masks with kaolin or clay...excellent for extracting impurities and refining the skin); or a trip to your beautician's. If its the latter, I'd advise you to avoid manual extractions as these can leave ugly scars and sometimes irritate the skin even further so that you get even more breakouts. I've started going for ultrasound facials and I must say, they've helped quite a bit in keeping my face nice and clean!
Pan, what is this zoning treatment from Ayura? Is it for acne breakouts? Unfortunately I have not had much luck with Ayura's skincare so far. I find it too mild actually.
Hi Meow, I just dug up the box and the product is called "Sensitive Intensive Work". They have another version for normal skin, which may work for you better.
This product consists of 4 ampoules of a serum which you're supposed to use for 10 days each month. The SA recommended it for regulating skin conditions just before that time of the month when skin looks tired and blotchy, and oily and dry all at the same time. So far so good, whenever I use this stuff, my skin is super-soft and supple, and it glows! Now I have the best skin just before THAT time of the month, how ironic.![]()
yes meow meow all my colleagues and i have tried it and most of them gave good reviews. :D
when i first tried the sample satchet, i left the cream onto the zit overnight and the next day it dried up!
