Most of the counter brands whitening stuff didn't work for me. Retin-A and they family of products containing Vit A worked to zap off pimples and prevent more from popping, but did nothing to lighten my scars.

So far, only 2 products I''ve used shows me that kind of overnight results I am after cos' I am impatient. They do not totally erase but lighten the scar gradually so that at least it doesn't stand out from the rest of my face like a sore thumb.. These 2 products are: Darphine Reducing cream ( urggg! I'm finishing up my sample tube already!)
    and DermaRX illuminating cream.

    HTH!

Brenda, u can Cosme Decorte's Vit C powder at the counter in taka. Its call Fresh Concentrate or something like that. Its comes in 4 bottles (each lasting may be abt 7 to 10 days) and cost abt $115 to $120. You won't see an immediate difference though. I guess for all lightening products u have to be patient as the results are usually gradual.

Like what Atypical said, I will rec AHA to lighten the scar. I used to use AHA in the morning and BHA at night. All my friends said my skin looks clearer where the old scars used to be. Lightening of scars takes time unless you want to go for some laser thingy?

Try Paula's Choice BHA Lotion (don't take the solution...that's very oily). I read that some gals don't like this but it works perfectly for me. As for AHA, I'm using Natura Bisse. Stings a little. PC has some AHA stuff but I've never tried that before.

If u are interested in PC, here's the number to call:

    Tel: 90680 3333
    Fax: 62850313
    Mail: paulas@starhub.net.sg

I'm not too sure about my recent bout of pimple breakout around my chin.

Can't blame too much on the skincare Im using now. If it's the skincare, my whole face should breakout but it didn't.

I think some parts of my body malfunctioning and it shows on my face (chin). Some Chinese thingy.

    Good luck!

I've been reading this on MUA as well.

Is this really that good? Was actually tempted to order but I'm thinking if this will complement my usual skincare regime.

    Can you tell us more?

    Hi Meow,

Wonder if you read the Clean and Clear thread I posted. I normally use its clear blemish gel. It works best for me if not for the fact that this is discontinued in Sg. However you can still get this in JB.

Stings like hell and this really kills my pimples. Works great for me if I apply this every few hours and it's not too harsh to dry up the skin like PC. I always imagine my pimples screaming for help whenever I appy it. :p I must warn you...this gel really bites!

Good luck with the pimples. I'm fighting them now as well *hugs*

for me, Dalacin, which is available either thru presciption or in JB over the counters, work best for me. Zaps zits and prevents future ones.

    Hi,

im totaly new to this forum, so please give me your guidance everyone!

Brenda, i've been using Retin-A for quite a long time now, abt 2 years already, and i must say it's quite suitable for me in helping to lighten some of the acne scars for me.

Have you tried Ginvera's Marvel Gel b4? i used to try that some time back, was rather effective in helping to lighten some of the scars on my face....but heard that the latest marvel gel from Follow Me is better....anyone tried that already?

    cheers!

how about trying neutrogena On the Spot Acne treatment? THis is my must have item. It does not cost any dryness at all and very effective on the zits.

    Default philosophy

i used to use shiseido's blemish cream ... until one day when i used it on top of BHA and my oh my, i had three underground red looking things exactly where i put the cream on!

i'd say go for philosophy's "on a clear day" lotion .. or gel. the gel is stronger. i'm not sure if you can get this in singapore though. you can get them in australia though - $35 for 30ml.

or there's always tea tree oil :)

but the best thing that's ever happened to my skin was the cold melbourne weather, i swear!
