    Default New York Skin Solutions

    hi

has anyone here tried going for facials/treatments at the New York Skin Solutions???

Supposed to have won a bottle of mask and 1 treatment from a local magazine contest...but in the end, they insist i sign on their 10 treatments package (over $1500 for the whole 10 treatments) and will then get the free treatment and the bottle. I feel like i got cheated!!!

Care to share your experiences, if any???

It's always like that. They have this free trial treatment upon consultation. It's more like, treatment upon brainwashed and signing of package.
I never got any of those trial thingys. :puke:

Please note that Sensualite slimming, New York Skin Solutions and Yunnan( hair) are under the same company, that is Yunnan Holdings. All of the consultants have a closing rate, that the reason why they are more aggressive. I used to be a consultant in Sensualite but that was like two years back so not too sure now they have a system like this in the facial line.

just my 2 cents worth here, all consultants have a quota to meet and that, it's how they survive. even the facialists/beauticians are pressured to do their part in selling.

and not just for these 3, but for most of those that have branches sprouting all over, they need people to sign up packages so that they've money to roll.

it is indeed very expensive! but the advertisment on the papers are pretty tempting as well! they show you the result .. and really make you feel like giving it a try.. but so far, is there any positive feedback?

faylistic, dont you think the results seem a little bit too 'good'? Even after going for laser resurfacing (invasive laser) or dermabrasion (not MICROdermabrasion), you cannot get such perfect skins.

Hey gals, please do not sign up packages from New York Skin Solutions, Sensualite... and there is another company that does hair loss for men and women.... They are all under this company call Euro Group. They are very agressive when it comes to sales and they literally force customers to buy products or sign up big packages with them. I have been in training in one of their centers before. The way they conduct trainings to consultants is to get consultants to force buyers to buy and they push up the package prices very high. They do not have integraty or honesty....

    Hi KittenSandy

Used to be a slimming consultant in Wisma branch about two years back. Michelle the lady boss and Andy( husband) used to be the boss of Yunan, Sensualite and now this facial line. Thay do have other business(ginseng I think) because there was one year a whole root of ginseng( suppose to worth $1500) was given to each customer who spent $1500. You mean they are taken over by a company named Euro group?

I am not too sure who the bosses are previously, but i am very certain that Yunan, Sensualite and New York Skin Solutions are under this company name - Euro Group. The turn over of the consultants are like changing clothes, everyday you will see people come and go.. It's also VERY political in there.
BUT the main point is the fact that I do not like how they train the consultants to rip off customers as much as they can so that they can have a much better and higher commission. It's really terrible

Is the closing rate that frightened me. I feel like a 'monster' for a year plus. The target was generally quite low for new comers and they will actually increased the target every month by 1k or 2k( all this mentioned was in the year of 2002 and the place was pretty new at that time).

hueyya: I dun really know how many branches they have now.. The ones i know of are at bugis, novena square, parkway parade. I suppose they have a few more. U are right, there are more consultants and only 1 or maybe 2 beauticians per salon. The consultants will double up as a beautician. What they tell the customers is that this is better because the consultants who consults you get to do the treatments for you as well so the customers benefit...but in fact, other then earning commission from the package that the customers pay, they *** earn from the treatments that they do for the customers. U must know that the consultants are not trained properly to do the proper treatments ***.. Just anyhow do.. Every consultants have their own style, not standard one...

Superbum: Yup! You are right, even now they are still doing that.. And once you are unable to hit their targets for quite a few months, they will kick you out! That's y the turnover of consultants so high.
