sassification- birkenstocks are more ex like close to 100 or 100 plus, depending on the design. i have 2 pairs of birkies but everytime it rains, my heart pain. and its cheaper to get from taiwan than sg i got a pair there which is black and silver. singapore only has 1 colour for that design and they dun sell it online too extremely satisfied with that purchase. think they no longer carry it though. my friends wanted but couldnt find the last time they went there.
n@u9ht- yups , i think pedder red should have it but i think the range there should be sold out by now. been ard for quite a while. pedder red tends to sell the upper range i think i checked the price last time, close to 100 if i didnt rmb wrongly.
dionneee- i think the promo is long over. it was quite a while ago, like end of 08? maybe u can try later part of the year since num has a practise of bringing in new ranges for the year. i expect to see a newer slimmer version of the trekking type soon! but then again, its all dependent on the bosses taste! like the metal logo, it was brought it cos of the customers demand. reason why singapore dun have the rubber logos in the store.i heart the rubber logos. have a pair in black and yellow!
AmigoEva-yups, definitely ex here!i think in brazil it 5 usd or something. and the haivaianas here hardly go on discount like overseas.

however, i own two pairs (bought in australia for much less) and would never wear any other slippers. i've recommended them to many people who agree, for comfort and style, they are well worth every dollar. i find other slippers just not enough support for all day walking.

have paid for other slippers <$20, but dont wear them as uncomfortable. will be buying havaianas again. looking forward to vising CHECK (thanks summerice)
abit late to ask, but does anyone knows how much a pair of havaianas costs in aussie?

I was in Brazil actually, and the most basic model of havaianas was a mere 10SGD. I ended up getting all kinds of different models - they also have a customising service at some shops. They do things like add butterflies, diamantes, etc.etc. Very comfy.

Hey all, i was thinking of getting some havaianas thongs/slippers in. Wondering whether anybody out there would be interested.

    Here are some designs

Some of them are the 'slim' version, while others are the general ones with rubber, and/or metal logos. Price wise it'd be mid 20's to mid 30's,definitely cheaper than the cutthroat 59.90 that NUM stocks it for.

    Anybody interested?

i'm a MAJOR flip flop wearer, and i was really skeptical of havaianas at first (i used to wear ONLY jcrew flip flops, which are also great, but the ones i like only come in navy with patterned straps). i wanted a pair of black flip flops to wear with a particular sundress, so i asked a brazilian friend of mine if they were really that awesome - she said they were, so i tried them and WOW. they hurt my feet the first time i wore them, which is often the case when i try a new brand of flip flops, but ever since, they've been wonderful. my feet DO tend to sweat, and many flip flops retain odors quickly, but i've been wearing the same black pair for 6 months and they're still in great condition and don't smell at all. even the $30 jcrew flip flops wear out more quickly than that, and i HATE rainbows (they actually made me bleed within an hour).

i can walk for hours in havaianas and my feet don't hurt (i have really high arches, so my feet eventually do hurt in almost all shoes, even sneakers), and you can usually find them on sale.
